We stayed 8 nights in the Gecko Room. Landsend is a beautiful place, just outside of Half Moon Bay. 5 minute walk from the beach and restaurants in town. We loved our room, which was spacious and had ocean view from both windows (facing North and West). The staff is very friendly, preparing eggs to order in the morning. It is a very mellow place with no frills, which was exactly what we were looking for since we are not into the resort style hotels.
Highly recommend.

Lands End is a great place to stay if you want to be far away from all the local bars late night noise. But, close enough walking distance to be in the middle of all the action. The atmosphere is relaxing and the ocean is practically outside your door. The staff (Eva, Mercedes, Brian) were very helpful and friendly. The host (Adi) was very approachable and willing to accommodate all needs. The local resident deer were nice to see every morning as you started your day. The place is so quiet that at times it seemed like you had the place to yourself. The best part of Lands End is the trust the host has with his guest. I was able to go to the bar, get my own drinks, and just put it on my room tab. Great Place! Would recommend it to anyone! Thanks Lands End for a great relaxing vacation!

Lands ends is the prefect place if you want to stay close to west end but at the same time have a great amount of privacy and a relaxing atmosphere, great ocean view , pluas a great host

I have been to Roatan five or six times and this is my favorite spot, one of the most special places I have ever set foot. Location is perfect -- close enough to West End that you can walk to the bars, but far enough to be out of earshot when the parties get loud. (My last trip this Sept/Oct, the road getting here was mucky, and there was some construction on it, but but don't let that deter you!) In the daytime, you can cool off in the saltwater pool or play with the deer -- yes, deer! -- who will even let you pet them if you're gentle. Some nights, it's upbeat, with a band jamming on the wooden deck, lionfish being cooked up (you MUST try it), and a fantastic mixed crowd hanging out at the bar. (If you have been here a few days and your belly is rotting from watery Honduran beers, they have Tucher!) Other nights, if it's not busy and you are lucky enough to have the place to yourself, climb out on one of the hammocks that hangs over the ironshore (exposed fossilized coral) and you will feel like you are at the end of the universe, exposed and so very alive. This place is atmospheric and so, so beautful. Also: well-run. Hosts Adi and Eva, plus the chef Mercedes and bartender (sorry, I forget his name!) are all lovely.
