Lands ends is the prefect place if you want to stay close to west end but at the same time have a great amount of privacy and a relaxing atmosphere, great ocean view , pluas a great host

I have been to Roatan five or six times and this is my favorite spot, one of the most special places I have ever set foot. Location is perfect -- close enough to West End that you can walk to the bars, but far enough to be out of earshot when the parties get loud. (My last trip this Sept/Oct, the road getting here was mucky, and there was some construction on it, but but don't let that deter you!) In the daytime, you can cool off in the saltwater pool or play with the deer -- yes, deer! -- who will even let you pet them if you're gentle. Some nights, it's upbeat, with a band jamming on the wooden deck, lionfish being cooked up (you MUST try it), and a fantastic mixed crowd hanging out at the bar. (If you have been here a few days and your belly is rotting from watery Honduran beers, they have Tucher!) Other nights, if it's not busy and you are lucky enough to have the place to yourself, climb out on one of the hammocks that hangs over the ironshore (exposed fossilized coral) and you will feel like you are at the end of the universe, exposed and so very alive. This place is atmospheric and so, so beautful. Also: well-run. Hosts Adi and Eva, plus the chef Mercedes and bartender (sorry, I forget his name!) are all lovely.

My Fiance and I had the pleasure of staying at Lands End. The first day there was a very big storm and a lot of rainfall. That next morning I awoke to a leak in the roof- nothing too big, but it did happen to be dripping right on my forehead. We told to owner and he upgraded our room for the rest of our stay! (we were there for 6 days) The breakfast was always enjoyable- would have been nice to have more options, but i can't complain too much. We ate there twice for dinner and both times it was excellent. (better than 80% of the places in West End-highly recommend the lion fish) It was great to have the ability to go snorkeling right off their property. This was a very relaxing place to stay and the trust system they have in place is great. (You don't have to wait for a bartender to show, just hop behind the bar grab yourself a beer or cocktail and write it down on your tab)

This was our second visit to Lands End and we had another wonderful vacation. Situated in a quiet corner of West End we had stunning 180 degree views of the ocean from our room (Tucan).
This hotel is well maintained and benefits from a great team who provide service with a smile. The pool, bar and sandy area are quiet which is good after a busy day diving. During our stay the bar had a couple of 'open mic' nights which were fun and a chance to meet some of the local musicians. Also food was available from the restaurant. This was good local cooking (not fancy but tasty).
Thanks to Adi and Eva for making our stay feel like part of the family. We love this hotel and will come back next year.
