Granit Hotel is an older yet elegant hotel situated right on Ohrid Lake. The hotel is large and well equipped. The best feature is the outdoor terrace where cocktails are served to guests while watching the sunset. The breakfast was wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable. Hint - make sure you request a room with a view of the lake. Ohrid is a beautiful resort town and we really looked around to see what other hotels were available for our next visit but this was the best one we could find and were very happy that we had chosen it.

We spent 7 days in Hotel Granit and were happy with the service received by all staff. Their English was very good (in comparison to that mentioned in other reviews).
Great atmosphere & great food.
On the 3rd day we needed to travel to the emergency medical clinic in Ohird and the TUI rep went beyond the call of duty and arranged transport (which also included translation assistance with the doctor, and finding an open pharmacy on a Sunday). The driver was incredibly helpful and refused to take any more money than the metred fare.
On return, Ana the rep, immediately checked on our status (and had already done so via our driver).

We stayed here for a friend's wedding, and were stunned by the amazing views of Lake Ohrid from our balcony (we were in room 101). The room itself was a nice size, very comfy bed and good air conditioning. The bathroom was ok, a few bulbs not working and the shower wasn't sealed properly so leaked, but apparently this is fairly common so we didn't think it was much of a problem. Breakfast was generous, the food in the restaurant was nice and the bar is very reasonable. The hotel staff were very helpful with booking taxis to Ohrid town centre (don't pay more than 250 denar). Some friends of ours had children with them and the hotel provided a microwave and other equipment for them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
