We had been through the city before on our last trip and I said to my wife, "next time we come to El Salvador, we are going to stay here". This is the next time and we stayed here, we toured some other hotels while there and found that even though they may have been more "updated" for the value and the location of this Hotel we cannot say enough. For a nice quiet, simple stay that has great service and the most spectacular view of the center of the city with the sites and sounds for a True Salvadorian experience, plus if you want real Salvadorian food it is only steps away, plus the restaurant in the hotel has a variety of North American foods on the menu. Our stay also included breakfast and we had both mornings a typical Salvadorian meal and it was gooooood. The hotel with walking distance to all the shops and a great bakery (Lilian) and tourism office only steps away. The man made lake is only 10 minutes away by car and you can see Aljendro Cotto's house on the way. The hotel recommended a guide that came to front door of the hotel and he guided wtihout any issue and we had a great time. The hotel also has gated parking for your vehicle should you bring one (big bonus for us as we had one).
