Hi...my daughter Louise who was pregnant at the time stayed at the Hauza last February/March (2011). We are reurning again for ten days on the 16th February as we had such a lovely time last year. Lou our daughter was really looked after by the staff and we made lots of lovely friends there, this year we are going to take Phoebe (born 1st August 2011) to meet everyone!

I agree with some of the comments already written in the reviews...when we arrived last year having stayed in a different hotel in Sharm which was 5 star the previous year (2010) we were shocked at the standards. The hotel is 'sad and neends up-dating/refurbishing badly' if the management is going to expect the 'normal guest to return'. This would indicate that we 'are not normal' since we are returning this year...well 'we are normal' but view things in a more positive manner than some!?

We had a lovely time...the staff were just lovely, the private beach was quiet and really clean and we also really liked the food and wasn't ill once!

We however, didn't like the 'tiny little plastic cups' which we were offered our drinks in but that isn't going to be a problem this year since we are taking our own 'wine glasses' hahha!?

Please don't rule out this hotel if you are considering going to Egypt; it may not be the 5 star accomodation which you are looking for but the staff are really friendly and welcoming?!

Worst hotel ever. dark and dreary. should have only a 2 star rating. awful dining room, and food to match. very sparse bedrooms. Wine was disgusting, 95% water. stayed 1 night only. drinks served in small plastic glasses, even beer. Manager when questioned about 5 star rating quoted "well what did you expect for the money" I think that says it all" Luckily we had a lovely holiday at the AA Amwaj last October so transferred to this hotel and had a great time.

So where do i start, crap, rubbish, terrible, sickening, repulsive, stomach churning filth.

TO BEGIN FOOD: oh boy weight watchers paradise, you can't stomach it.
Little choice, no variety mostly cold but if you go early it might be warm-ish, little taste, bulked up with spices to hide the mysterious looking dishes.
Under cooked food on the barbeque that really gets the old stomach muscles dancing, i'll say no more on that only to say they dont give you enough toilet role............
Other restaurants not open apart from the oriental jazera that serves asian? confussed you will be when you taste the delights.....unedible is a word that comes to mind, without swearing.
Now, italian restaurant.bella vista does not exist..NO...NO...NO, ITS A PIZZA TAKE-AWAY not a restaurant as they describe...don't be fooled like me i've seen it first hand and the pizzas are tasteless and sickley. Birds, the feathery type land on the preparation counter all the time food is prepared leaving their mark...disgusting. RATS VISABLE AT SUN SET...NO EXCURSION REQUIRED,YOU SEE THEM EVERYWHERE .FILTH. FILTH, FILTH....................................
Tirana restaurant closed, thank god it looks like it could do serious damage to my body , going with what i've experienced this holiday...if i can call it a holiday or a survival holiday....
Accommodation is well below the five star standard as described,tatty furniture mostly broken in part, aged, worn and extremely tired.
Bathroom is a joke, in need of serious re-furb, dirt, mould, bodged fittings which could cause harm to adult and child, rusty fittings.
Beds are sub standard falling apart at the joints, matresses have seen better days as have the replacement sheets and towels supplied by the cleaner.
DRINK: COULD NOT BUY CHEAPER wine is un-drinkable, lager is very poor, spirits are like nothing you would expect in england....i think we would call them paint strippers...filth.
THE STAFF ON THIS RESORT CAN BE ABUSSIVE.
HARRASSMENT ON THIS RESORT IS CONSTANT (MASSAGE AND SPA STAFF).
BAR /WAITER STAFF CAN BE ABUSSIVE WITHOUT TIPS.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS OFFICER ? NOT WORTH A BEAN, TOTALLY UN-HELPFUL.
PURCHASE THIS RESORT GOD BE WITH YOU.....TOTAL RUBBISH.

AVOID LIKE AN STD CLINIC.

We arrived at this resort for a three week stay on 12 January 2012. This was our third trip to Egypt. If it had been our first, we would probably never go back to Egypt again... after what we experienced at this resort. We tolerated this for 11 Days, but after unfulfilled promises to change things and numerous deliveries from Mc Donalds and KFC, in order to ensure we didn't starve to death as well as dining at The Three Crowns (owned by an English Man called Andy, who is absolutely superb) we paid to move to another Hotel.

As we were checking out... which was difficult as they did not want to let us leave, we heard of several other guests collapsing with Gastroenteritus!!!!-

ROOMS

Cheap, tacky furniture. Disgustingly dirty bathroom (would not use bath.... see photo).
Dirty Sheets and Bed Covers (with complimentary cigarette burns).
Ants, Flies and Mosquitos in rooms.

ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE

Food - Nubian Restaurant (main restaurant).

You will be lucky if you receive any waiter service and as for a clean, laid table.... good luck.

Disgusting Soups... Stale Bread, despite claiming to have own bakers on resort.
Main Food Choice.... consistently repetitive selections.... usually cold. Very poor quality meat used throughout.... with chicken being especially bad as you don't get a piece of chicken with a litle bit of bone... you get lots of bones with a tiny bit of chicken.
Fresh Pasta a good choice... but you can't live on that for your whole holiday and you have to queue for ages!

NO Fresh Fruit available.... only rotting oranges.

The staff within the restaurants have no pride in their work and even put Curry Powder in the Coffee Machine... says it all.

SERIOUSLY.... the food is exceptionally bad and following the outbreak of Gastroenteritus the Doctor advised guests NOT to eat the meat!!!

A'LA CARTE RESTAURANTS..... we don't think so!!!!

Jazera Restaurant - Oriental Food Specialities..... reality check. Served set menu, which they claim to be Indian Food (which actually isn't Oriental Food, which they claim to be in the first place).... Awful.

Tirana Restaurant - Sea Food Specialities
NOT Open.... not even furnished.

Bella Restaurant Restaurant - Italian Food.... another reality check.
How can a hut that serves Pizza be called a Restaurant??? Not even worth a visit. Plus the area that is used to roll out the dough for the Pizza's is regularly covered by Sparrows in between orders and not cleaned again before use.

We tried on several occasions to obtain photographs of the eating areas and food on display.... but were rudely stopped by staff. (Do you think they were hiding something?).

ALCOHOLIC DRINKS
IF you like drinking Metholated Spirits... this is the resort for you.... However, if you prefer not to... BE WARNED... you will be served the Cheapest of Cheap Alcohols that will burn your throat and stomach and probably make you vomit... WE DID. The choice is also very very poor and will be served to you in childrens plastic party cups. The Lager is the cheapest P Water my partner has experienced in his life.

GROUNDS
Look closely... you will probably see the same as us..... RATS.... COCKROACHES.... ANTS.... FLIES.... LOTS OF BAGS OF RUBBISH!

Water Moat - Practically empty except for bottom that had stagnant, smelly water in it!


SERIOUS DANGERS
Do not let children out of your sight please!!!

Numerous Metal Posts on the way to the Beach, that have been cut off at low level.... exposing rusty jagged edges... an accident waiting to happen.

There are many areas where children could suddenly drop considerable distances and they are totally unguarded. Even the terraces with rooms have severe drops..... This Resort is NOT CHILD SAFE!

HARRASSMENT

If you want a relaxing break.... do not go here. You will be hassled every day, by the same people for you to buy everything from a Newspaper to Quad Biking to Spa Treatments. This will not just happen once a day, but several times a day and they will even wake you, should you be having a sleep on the sunbeds. Alladin from the Spa is particularly persistent and will be rude to you, overcharge you and gossip about you to other guests if he doesn't get his way..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

GUEST RELATIONS

This is another joke.... It was MIDO who was in charge of this department. He is supposed to help assist guests and resolve any complaints that they may have... that is his job - HE SHOULD BE SACKED. We tried on numerous occasions to get things resolved, from our room, through to the disgusting food and even the harrassment from staff.... but it was a total waste of time and we frankly found him to be unprofessional and as useful as a bucket with a hole in it!!!!! He is an obnoxious little man.

This is a genuine account of what we experience and we could honestly say an awful lot more, but hopefully we have said enough to stop you ruining a well deserved holiday.
