We stayed one night here, arriving at Split airport, and renting a car. From the airport to Trogir is a very simple 10 minute drive, even in the dark.
Hotel Pasike is on the tiny island that makes up the ancient centre of Trogir. Arrival is a bit complicated, and not at all as described on booking dot com. You drive over the narrow bridge that connects the island to the mainland and turn right. Here you have to stop and phone the hotel to lower the bollard that turns the road to the hotel into a semi-pedestrianised area. The hotel is on the left, in around 200 yards. For overnight parking you have to reverse this process to reach a car park on the mainland. There's a footbridge to bring you quickly back to the hotel.
The hotel is small, and sits behind its restaurant, where breakfast is served. Our room was clean and well-equipped, and had fast wifi internet available, but was on the third floor. There's no lift, nor was help with bags available, so you need to be able to carry your essentials up to your room.
Our shower room had a complex "hydrotherapy" shower, but this was broken so only one shower head was working. The problem really was that the shower water in the morning was lukewarm at best. And there was no plug in the sink.
Breakfast is served from 7 till 11am, but when we went down at 9, after a decent night's sleep, only remnants remained of the initial buffet. The water for making tea was tepid and only instant coffee was available. There was a chef hanging around to cook eggs, but he made no effort to re-stock the buffet. There was, however, plenty of fruit on a stand, maybe because previous guests had been put off by the mildew on the topmost orange.
Previous reviewers have had much better experiences here than we did, so it seems to me that the hotel can get it right some of the time. What the Pasike needs to do is to try harder to get it right all of the time.
Room Tip: Avoid the third floor if you have heavy luggage
