We arrived at the Kairos Travel Agency to pick up our keys - and the very helpful lady informed us that, because there was a problem with the aircon in our room, we had been upgraded to an apartment at no extra cost.

Well - it was actually a tiny town house, down a side street in the centre of Trogir. And very nice it was too! There was a bedroom / bathroom upstairs, and a kitchen / sitting room downstairs. It looked as if it had been recently renovated.

Anyway - all credit to the Kairos Travel Agency for their great service. We never got to see the Villa Ivanka - but if the Kairos Travel Agency are behind it then it must be good. They could have just put us in a room with faulty aircon - but chose to deliver really exceptional service.

If you're travelling via Split aiport then I would recommend a stay in Trogir. It's a 10 minute bus ride away (Split is an hour by bus) - and would be an ideal first night / last night destination. And use the Kairos Travel Agency (they're next to the Kamerlengo castle) as they are great people!

Great location right in the heart of Trogir! We had our choice of two rooms -- which were very comfortable and modern. Villa Ivanka also offered free WiFi which was a nice bonus. The hotel was located on a quiet sidestreet but close to many restaurants and the riva (waterfront filled with cafes). The building for the hotel is very nice -- stone walls with wooden windowframes. Trogir is a charming stay for a night or two and Villa Ivanka is a very good value. We picked up the keys to the place from a nearby travel agency and the staff was very friendly. He extended the checkout time and offered us driving directions to the ferry in Split. The hotel also offered parking validation for the nearby lot.

We arrived on the bus from Split, walked to the entrance of the Old Town and were met by the owner's young daughter who walked us through the town to the room. We then had to walk to the Tourist Agency (about a 2 minute walk away) to pay and pick up our room key. No problems finding our way back to the room. It's in a fantastic location, in the very heart of the Old Town. You are just a few steps from the beautiful, beautiful harbour and shops and restaurants/cafes. The owner is very friendly, with limited English and she had baked us some home made Croatian treats and left them in our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was perfectly adequate and clean. The bathroom was modern and clean. We elected to stay here because we were flying out of Split airport the next day and it's a five minute journey to the airport by bus. We would definitely recommend Villa Ivanka if you are thinking of visiting Trogir....such a beautiful, old and historic place!

Nestled on a narrow stone street, this hotel offers an extremely comfortable room near the water. This was the cleanest room I have experienced in my travels. Newly remodeled, the room with modern bath was bright and cheerful. My host picked me up at the airport and
gave me historic information on the village. His assistant guided me to the hotel and presented maps and more information. Free internet access is available at the travel agency nearby. I highly recommend this charming old hotel.
