“Great for adults and children alike”

I travelled with my husband and 18 month old son. The hotel and location were ideal and we will return at some point I'm sure. There is a free kids club with fantastic staff who all speak English and are full of enthusiasm. Although our son wouldn't stay, I would have no qualms about leaving him with the girls who worked there.

There is a huge climbing/soft play area (indoors) and a large well maintained park with slides and a sandpit. My son loved it and we were happy as we could relax near the park and let him play.

We found the food to be good quality and varied, although the restaurant did get very busy even though it was late in the season.

Don't be put off by the boat trip over to the island, it was a lovely trip with great views and only took 10 mins.

We would have returned this year but couldn't get a family room booked.

Room Tip: There are some rooms which face into a court yard and few people had a good moan about these so make...

“Wonderful holiday for the whole family”

Beautiful setting on idyllic island, lovely daily boat trips to visit Rovinj, which is also stunning and all very friendly. Hotel excellent with typical local food (not gourmet though!), entire hotel very clean and fresh, real pride taken by staff.
We hardly saw our son who made lots of lovely friends, meaning we could all relax and have a very happy time in the sunshine. Rooms overlooking the tiny romantic harbour would have been better, but to be honest, we hardly spent any time in our room except to sleep and shower!

Room Tip: ask for a harbour view, or book one of the new apartments

“Lovely setting, beautiful place”

Me and my family went a year ago and really enjoyed staying at the hotel and Rovinj, There were however several issues. Personally I felt the food was not perfect and felt trapped by the half board 'deal' Would be much better to eat out and soak up the beautiful town of Rovinj. Another massive issue is there is NO FIRST AIDER, which is horrendous when we were on an island and my sister go her finger trapped in a door!! I would also go out of season as it does get very busy. The room was very spacious and we were lucky enough to have a fab bath and shower. The breakfast is very good and I loved the holiday in general!!!!

Room Tip: Make sure to go out in Rovinj at night as its stunning!! Try to book with an operator which does n...

“Beware of hidden complex at rear of hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

Whilst I agree with most of the positive review comments relating to this hotel, it does, however, have a complex at the rear which comprises of approximately forty appartments with absolutely no sea view and poor quality two star rooms. The view from the balcony is akin to a tenament block of flats.
My wife and I were bitterly disappointed and somewhat shocked on arrival. My wife complained at the reception desk only to be told that it was 'budget accomodation'. My wife asked to change rooms and was prepared to pay a supplement but was told that the hotel was full. I would agree with numerous reviews that the reception staff are in need of a course in customer satisfaction as they showed little interest in our complaint.
The following day I complained to the rep. who gave me a complaint form which I duly completed. The rep. whilst pleasant and sympathetic, was reluctant to commit or comment on what we had been told at reception, but she did state that she had received over twenty complaints re. the complex. ( I booked this holiday on the internet a full eight months prior to travel and on the booking procedure I was led to believe that all rooms had a sea view. There was no mention of a suplement).
I took photographs of the complex and forwarded them to Thomson Customer Services Department with a claim for compensation for the lack of a sea view. I eventually had a response which was somewhat patronising and which failed to address the issues.
I agree that this hotel is situated in a wonderful location and the ferry from the island to Rovinj is in itself a lovely and peaceful journey with wonderful views. At night the island is lovely and serene and beautifully lit up. The square at Rovinj is a vibrant area in the evening and during our stay there was some form of wine festival and the entertainment was wonderful. It's such a pity that we had this badly located room and a sad endictment on the Customer Services Department with Thomson that they failed to recognise a genuine complaint and ensure some form of recompense for the disappointment that this caused.

Room Tip: Ensure that you have a room facing the pool area. Get an assurance that you have a sea view as you w...
