“Fantastic place, but a bit far from town”

My wife and I really liked this sobe. We had the top floor room with a roof top balcony. The sobe itself was pretty, had a nice courtyard (with a ton of mosquitoes) and was nicely landscaped. The room was big and clean and seemed really new with nice hard wood floors, a good size, really nice bathroom. And a parking space for our car was key. The one big draw back was the distance it was from the Old Town. The walk was at least 25 minutes. We could have maybe driven there, but then you would have to deal with parking... most of which seemed to be on a 2 hour limit, so not really a viable option in our opinion. I don’t really remember seeing taxi cabs. Walking there wasn’t too bad, but the walk home we could have done without. But overall, it was good and we enjoyed our time in Rovinj.

“Pretty good”

The rooms are on the basic side, but the common areas are gorgeous. Our bathroom was also pretty nice with beautiful blue tile. It is a bit outside of town, but if you have a car, it's no problem at all. There's a great supermarket across the street, which was convenient for stocking up on snacks. Breakfast was okay a lot of options, but nothing was hot. Pastries, fruit, cereal, etc.. Only instant coffee, which was kind of a bummer. Felt it was a good value overall.

“Wonderful, comfortable, friendly, and much more than we expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2011

Melita does everything to make sure you are comfortable and at home. Rooms are clean and airy. Breakfast is excellent. Eggs made to order...we showed Melita how to cook fried eggs over medium, and she loved learning how. Free parking. Near a supermarket. BIt of a walk to town, but we drove and had no problem parking. May is preseason, and a perfect time to visit this beautiful area.

“Lovely room, beautiful town”

We visited Villa Melita in winter for one night. Our room at the front of the house was warm, quiet, very clean and spacious. The bathroom was modern, light and airy. We booked direct with Melita and the process was easy and efficient. The house is about a 20-25 minute walk from the old part of Rovinj. This is a most beautiful town with its waterfront and many cobbled tiny lanes. We had parking at Villa Melita. We did also drive into Rovinj without difficulty and found pay parking. Melita is informative and accommodating - although they did not serve breakfast when we were there, she brought us coffee in the morning which we much appreciated. There were nice touches in the room such as a box of chocolates. We chose this room on a whim as we have a daughter called Melita and we were very glad we did! We only wish we could have spent a couple of days at Rovinj.

Melita is an excellent host who works hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Her B&B is well kept and clean and is located about a mile from the centre of Rovinj, a pleasant walk for those who don't have a car (although Melita will probably offer to drive you). Breakfast is buffet style, is taken in a courtyard and and our room had a/c, ensuite and a balcony. There is the convenience of a large supermarket and bus-stop nearby.
