hi!
was in castor in may for 5 days.hotel castor is in rabac. i was very suprised because of the lovely room and it was clean-what is very important;)for only 3 stars. i have to praise the food , it was excellent and i praised it every day while i was there(not exaggerating-u will see what im talking about if u will go there) , they have good cuisine! the staff are very nice too!
for me is rabac place where they have beautiful beaches with small stones and clean see. thats all for now , enjoy the summer:)

We stayed here for two weeks for our honeymoon and loved it. The room was rather small but very clean and comfortable with air conditioning (very imporatnt with the climate). the facilities were great, the location was close to the local ameneties but not too close (although the hill from the promenade to the hotel was quite steep), the staff were lovely, the food was good, it was great value for money and provided just what we needed. We had a lovely sea view from our balcony. Will definitely go back and would confidently recommend it to anyone. The town itself was nice, it had good facilities but wasn't too touristy (no macdonalds or all day breakfasts and Karaoke bars which was perfect)

Stayed here one night in June. We had popped in the day before to see if there was a room with a sea view free to be told there should be. Next day we booked in and were given our "sea view" (which we paid extra for!) It should have been called a "Tree View" because it was the darkest dingiest room we stayed in during the whole of our trip to Istria!! Not a glimpse of sea - we were practically in the basement and the balcony ( which was in need of a good clean) looked onto some trees and scrub ground. When we complained we were told it was classed as a sea view and that there were no other rooms - we knew from asking around all other hotels were full so just had to stay put as we were moving on the next day to a hotel in Pula. Objected to paying for something I did not have - i.e. sea view!!!!

On the plus side the hotel facilities were quite nice - live music excellent - good bar prices and a very nice assortment of dishes for breakfast. However it would appear that at lot of rooms do not have much of a view so if you are coming here for more than a few days I would try to check exactly what view you are getting - it could make or break your holiday.
