Tourist village SAN MARINO consists of hotel PLAŽA, VELI MEL, SAHARA, RAB (3 star) and LOPAR (2star) pavillions and is situated on the nothern side of "paradise beach", in a beautiful pine wood, with some stunning views of the Adriatic sea. The capacity is aprox.540 rooms, air-conditioned restaurant with a bar and dance terrace, hairdressers, newspaper and gift shop.
Rooms in the pavillion LOPAR offer basic service such as private shower/ WC,balcony, rooms of PLAŽA and VELI MEL have been recently rebuilt, are nicely furnished with private bath (shower, WC), phone, SAT-TV, air-conditioned and balcony; rooms of SAHARA and RAB are modern renovated and nicely furnished with private shower,SAT-TV, no balcony (only balcony door) and air-conditioned.
We loved the village, because there is a lot of green all around (trees, bushes, mediterranean plants,...), particulary the beach (so called "paradise beach" - rajska plaža in croatian). It's the most famous beach on the island RAB, 1,5 km long, ideal for small kids, elder people and handicap people - for all who cannot swimm good (shallow water).
The place, called LOPAR, where SAN MARINO is located, offer lots of beautiful sandy beaches, in fact there are 22 of them, of which 3 are nudist beaches (CIGANKA,SAHARA,STOLAC).
The only hotel deficit is the room cleaness, the room maid could clean the room floor, beacause there is sand everywhere (e.g.in the sheets);
You can reach LOPAR (san marino village) by ferry boat from island KRK, which takes 1,5 hour from VALBISKA (there is ferry boat 4 times a day) or from JABLANAC (on the mainland), which takes aprox.30 minutes and connects the island RAB several times a day.
