“We liked it very much...”

Beautiful hotel, clean room, good food, nothing more to wish...

We've reserved a room with a balcony and that was very right choice. When we got the key we discovered that our room has also one of 8 biggest balconies in the hotel (that is essential as some of them are very very tiny - so we had a lot of place for sitting in the open air and also for drying our things after returning from the beach).

The nearest beach was 2 minutes away from hotel - very beautiful, with chaise-longues, parasols etc, but we selected another one - about 10 min. of walk with different swimming options - directly from coast, or from pear etc. You have there big choice of beach types :-) All nearest beaches are in common use for all, as as much I understand they are placed inside of the city

The time spent in hotel was great, nothing to miss there, no complains. I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Take a room with a balcony and ask one with a big balcony :-)

“Perfect place for families!”

Stayed here for a week with our 3 children and had a great holiday! There were so many activities available for the kids from morning until night. The evening entertainment was great for the entire family - ABBA tribute band and magic show to name a couple. The food was fresh and delicious everyday and included beer and wine. Well worth it!
Would definitely go back!

“Quite good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2009

Luna Active Resort is situated some 2-3 km from Porec centre which is a nice walk for couple of times but after a while it will start bothering you. The tourist "train" stops running around 8 p.m. so you cannot have dinner and then take the "train" to Porec. For some reason there are very little taxies in Porec. I never see a single one in front of the hotel.

Service at Luna Resort varies a lot. It is quite good at the restaurant but on the other hand the gentlemen at the reception are maybe not best suited for service profession.
Breakfast and dinner are ok for the price, quite typical buffet variety, nothing special though.

Pool area is nice and tidy. At least in september there were always plenty of sunbeds availalble. Pool has salty water which was ok but not everybody likes it.

“Friendly and fun hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2008

Our family stayed at Luna Active Resort in July. We usually holiday in villas and this was our first experience of half board hotels with our family. At first we were disappointed with our smaller bedrooms, with no balcony and view of air con installations however we had not come to this hotel to stay in our bedrooms. The hotel was overall very clean and welcoming. The pool area was busy but you could soon find your own quiet spot. The food was plentiful, varied, regional at times and healthy. We stayed for 8 nights and by the 8th night the menus repeated so perhaps 7 nights is long enough.

The best thing about this hotel were the animation staff they were fantastic working from 8am until 11pm most nights and always full of energy and smiles. They organised everything from cycling tours, break dancing lessons to mini discos and were willing to share their knowledge of Croatia and their culture with guests. Porec as a resort is an extension of Germany, with German almost being the first language which was frustrating for us, as a British family, living in Eastern Europe and yearning for some English conversation. The town of Porec is very touristy with lots of hotels however the marina area is becoming more high class and cycling round the old town wall and swimming in the sea with the locals, as opposed to on the concrete platforms was magical.

The hotel was about 15 mins walk from the town centre however the hotel had a free bike hire between 8.30 and 7pm and there was also a tourist train which took you close to the town a couple of times per hour for a small charge.

We booked the hotel via the hotel groups website Valamour at at the time of booking received the offer of a sailing course for the children or a family trip to Venice, we choose the sailing course which took our 4 kids sailing for 3.5 hours on 6 consectuitive days.

I would be happy to recommend the hotel although Brits should be aware they will be surrounded by 98% Germans especially for families between the ages of 6 and 12.
