The upsides of this hotel:
1. Cheap at 35 Euro per night.
2. Large rooms.
3. A pool, tennis court and restaurant on site.
4. Free WiFi.
5. Huge meals at the restaurant.
The downsides of this hotel:
1. A foul smell coming from the bathroom
2. Things such as lights and shower heads left unrepaired.
3. No soap for the shower.
4. A long way from the National Park entrance.

TC Marko - essential info
Remarkably good value - best we found in Croatia
Spotless rooms and spotless pool (guy spent hour plus cleaning it each morning whether it needed it or not!). Not found too many hotels with pools nearby, certainly not at this price!

Go for the block of rooms away from the road - not the rooms above the restaurant: much quieter as the Karlovic to Plitvice road is the main drag
15 mins drive to Plitvice Lakes - beautiful, although scenary immediately around hotel is pretty average
The pizzas in restaurant far too salty, although here I am really being fussy

We booked two rooms for our family of four, and had plenty of room. TC Marko is not hard to find, right on the main road. Being on a main road and hosting a very popular restaurant does make it noisy, we had no trouble sleeping we were exhausted every night due our busy schedule, but this maybe an issue for light sleepers.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked the half-board option which is a very reasonable rate, we had the set menu which was ample but fairly basic. The restaurant menu is quite extensive so you may wish to book bed and breakfast and choose the wider selection on offer for dinner, these meals did look really tasty.
We were happy with our choice of accommodation and didn't mind the drive to and from Plitvice Lakes National Park. These Lakes are magnificient surpassed all expectations. We caught the shuttle bus to the top of the lakes and took a leisurely six hour walk through the entire National Park, the beauty of how all these lakes link together is really something to see. If you can't spend the whole day there the lower lakes are the more scenic and well worth seeing if you have limited time.

Just returned for one night in Tc Marko and we found the place very quiet and clean.
We have stayed in the appartments far from the restaurant (because of the noise) and the place is quit good.
The food in the restaurant are splendid and cheap.
Is a splendid place for base to Plitvice lakes.
