We stayed 2 nights to visit the parc. The hostess (Christina) made extra effort to arrange access to the caves and advised about parc details in such a way we got something extra out of our experience. That was super!
The restaurant however, should be avoided. Clumsy staff and under average food without any presentation, a poor breakfast and a non-cozy space lead you to alternatives in the surroundings.
Also, avoid the 3 person room on the ground floor. The bathroom is so small, it does not even have a proper door, and we had to fix the shower before we could use it.

This tourist centre is about 10 miles from the lakes and is the perfect place to stay. Room was great with a fantastic breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant made great food in the evening (there is not much else around though). Free parking but no WiFi.

I can't add much to the other reviews as far as the amenities on the property. I do want to add that the folks here saved what could have been a disasterous trip to Plitvice. Long story short, we were dropped off WAY past TC Marko by an ornery bus driver, bascially leaving us stranded in unknown parts. Calling with our last ounce of battery on our cell, the folks at TC Marko immediately said not to worry and they came and picked us up. The weather in September was suppossed to be in the 70's, but we spent almost a week in the low 40's and pouring rain. They called the owner and got the heat turned on for us. We had thought the park was in walking distance or we could get a bus - neither is true - so they rented us one of their own cars. Overall, the people at TC Marko made what could have been a terrible experience a positive one - I am sorry it took me a year to write this review. Thanks!

The upsides of this hotel:
1. Cheap at 35 Euro per night.
2. Large rooms.
3. A pool, tennis court and restaurant on site.
4. Free WiFi.
5. Huge meals at the restaurant.
The downsides of this hotel:
1. A foul smell coming from the bathroom
2. Things such as lights and shower heads left unrepaired.
3. No soap for the shower.
4. A long way from the National Park entrance.
