This was a last minute booking via the net due to a sudden change of plans. We were touring the Balkans, but diverted to the coast as the weather inland was so poor.
We needed a cheap hotel for one night on the Istria coast of Croatia. We found the Hotel Park in Lovran. Wow what a discovery!
This elegant little hotel is 50 metres from the seafront, set amongst the quaint restaurants, cafes and the picturesque walking area of the town.
It deserves every one of its four stars. The rooms are large and well appointed. It has a good restaurant, swimming pool, and gym and has free Internet access. The staff were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable – and always smiling!
Our room had views straight out to sea, and alone were worth the modest nightly room charge.
I wish I had booked this place for the whole two weeks!

This hotel is directly on the road at Lovran. Our room overlooked the small harbour and beach area. We had a small balcony with electric shutters and double glazing to keep out any road noise. (Perfect nights sleep) The bathroom was small with a corner shower and pump dispenser gels and soaps. The breakfast was plentiful and had lots of choice. The wellness centre is great with a big indoor pool and relaxation an therapies available. Everyone at the hotel were smiley and polite - all in we loved it!

The hotel is in Lovran - a picturesque seaside town in Croatia. The hotel has been re-fitted and offers contemporary features. The rooms are somewhat small with a nice large balcony and gorgeous views.

The restaurant is buffet type, food choice is adequate and quality is good.

The wellness section has a decent size pool (20m) 2 saunas, hot tub and two showers.

The on-line photos create the impression that the hotel is on a beachfront. In fact the Opatija-Pula highway is running in front of the hotel and this makes it very noisy even at night.

One great disappointment was that we got charged 90 Euros ($150) for using the wellness section 3 times. One would assume that a wellness hotel with room prices of 130 Euros ($200) per night would offer a complimentary wellness section - but not this one..

Nice day trips are available from the nearby port which is also the "beach" for this hotel.

Location provided easy accessibility to the sea and restaurants, and the staff was great, but the hotel itself was a bit worn. Not so much the common areas, but the rooms themselves. Complementary breakfast was terrific and Tony, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Free wifi in lobby.
