Old fashioned hotel for people not requiring extra services (e.g. fitness room, air conditioned rooms). Nice atmosphere of the early 20th century. Friendly staff, cleanness, cared environment, quietness. Beds are not for people with back issues (mattresses are unconfortable and the beds are creaky).
Buffet restaurant with acceptable, but not extra quality. Rocky/concreted beach in front of the hotel, the water is clean (rich in fishes).
Location: Lovran is an amazing little resort close to Opatija (good bus connection). The hotel is close to the little old town and marina, there is a long, atmospheric winding promenade along the beach.
The Istria peninsula itself is worth to visit, not only the well known cities, like Rovinj, Pula and Porec, but take trips inside the peninsula, too.
