My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Park for 2 nights while trying to see the islands on a budget. After reading some of the reviews, I thought this would be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at since we usually stay at nicer hotels. However, it wasn't that bad. The hotel says it is 5 minutes from the main harbor. I'd say more like 10-15 minutes, but it is not a bad walk - nice views and you can see the various resteraunts available to you. We had one of the "renovated" rooms. I think they were renovated but in 1970s decor. However, they were clean and spacious and the balcony had a great view. Breakfast was nothing special. Staff at the front desk were not that bad. I wouldn't say they went out of their way, but they were decent. There is no lift so if you are on a higher floor, be prepared to carry your bags. The hotel has kids activities which seemed quite nice for families. If we went back to Korcula on a budget, I would not mind staying here again.

I don't mind staying at old hotels as long as they are clean. The rooms need new carpet, fans, new furniture, basically it needs to be renovated.

As for the location it was great , beautiful water for swimming and a great little town for relaxation.

This hotel was terrible, overpiced and probly one of the worst I have ever stayed at. (and I travel more than once a month)
There was no elevator and we had to carry heavy suitcases up 4 flights. The rooms were so hot and there was no ac or fans.
The bathrooms were old and dingy looking. There was some repairs happening in the lobby and it smelt like sewage. The entire floor was soaking wet (large puddles) and we had to drag our suitcases out the side door when we were leaving, and go down another large staircase.
I asked housekeeping for an extra towel and she barked rudely at me and, instead of offering me the towel, she said "Shouldntyou be checking out soon? We need to clean the room! We have other guests coming!" And this was an hour before checkout.

It was so noisy in the morning- you could hear the houekeeping and repair stafff yelling at eachother and chatting from the window. They were repairing something with a jackhammer SO early in the morning, I felt lke I was back in my apt in NYC.

I will never stay here again.

The only good point was the view.

Hotel Park glorious days are obviously over. Room are okay, confortable and clean, but bathroom definitely need renovation. The staff is not helpful and not especially friendly. It was even worst at breakfast. Staff was rude and smiling seems absent of their behaviour. Breakfast was not especially good. There is no beach near the hotel. Absolutely not a resort where you like to spend a week of vacation.

Location is good (a small walk to old town and near restaurants).
