We had read lots of reviews before we went and were a bit "OH what have we booked", but we were in for a wonderful treat, approaching the island by ferry was a real sight, hotel was basic but the views from the balcony were outstanding, food was good not a great choice but what they had was good, beds were lovely and comfy. Staff on reception were very helpful. Must go and see the sword fighting Moreska amazing but scary don't sit at the front ! The old town was only a 10mins walk from hotel again amazing lots of cobble street so no heels ! sights of all the yatchs , lots of great restaurants on the waterfront you will be spoilt for choice!, lots of hidden gems you would't image to find, finally the sunsets were just beautiful.

Only stayed one night in Korcula so little time was spent on researching hotels in advance; maybe a small bit of research might have avoided Hotel Park.
There's cheap and there's cheerful but this is neither. First impressions not great having hauled suitcases up three flights of stairs - small shafts of light between the wall and the door frame of our room door, then a largish stain on the carpet to greet us on entry. In general, all fixtures and fittings were shabby and well beyond their best; bedlinen could not be described as pristine.
Plus points for the room was its generous size and its seaview balcony.
Hotel is within easy reach of Old Town and ferries.
Staff would not set the world alight; neither would the breakfast.
Overall, one has to imagine Korcula has better accommodation options.

As a guest there on the 16th August, 2010 it was a mistake on my behalf to assume they would have charged my card when we were at the Hotel...

This assumption meant that I was not there for them to tell me that my credit card did not have the sufficient funds needed to pay my bill.

Rather than simply emailing me and asking for another card, they instead chose to immediately contact the police who, in a very unfriendly manner, greeted us upon arrival in Dubrovnik, escorted us through crowds of travelers (without any indication as to what we'd done) and left us to wait in their smoke-riddled office before transporting us to another smoke-riddled Police Station where we had to wait further.

Yep, I was infuriated by the embarrassment we endured. Yep, I was infuriated by the time we wasted in a police station whilst on our holiday. Most of all, I was infuriated by the lack of respect Hotel park gave their guests.

Hotel Park is an old, run down and dirty establishment with equally as badl food and service. This additional 'incident' was the straw the broke the camel's back.

Hotel Park = FAIL.

My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Park for 2 nights while trying to see the islands on a budget. After reading some of the reviews, I thought this would be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at since we usually stay at nicer hotels. However, it wasn't that bad. The hotel says it is 5 minutes from the main harbor. I'd say more like 10-15 minutes, but it is not a bad walk - nice views and you can see the various resteraunts available to you. We had one of the "renovated" rooms. I think they were renovated but in 1970s decor. However, they were clean and spacious and the balcony had a great view. Breakfast was nothing special. Staff at the front desk were not that bad. I wouldn't say they went out of their way, but they were decent. There is no lift so if you are on a higher floor, be prepared to carry your bags. The hotel has kids activities which seemed quite nice for families. If we went back to Korcula on a budget, I would not mind staying here again.
