We stayed at the Adriana for one night prior to heading off island hopping along the Dalmatian Coast. I think if you accept the Hotel for what it is and set your expectations accordingly its more than adequate as a base for one or two nights. The location is fantastic, and yes the rooms are a little tired and basic - however bare in mind
that the hotel stock across Split in general is rather poor. We were realistic in what the Hotel would probably offer and since it met all
our requirements; air conditioning, reasonable accommodation, proximity to the old town/city centre and decent price (why pay a fortune if you're only staying a night?) the Adriana did not dissappoint. Yes the hotel staff can appear a little abrupt, but anyone who has spent time in a Slavic country will know that it is more to do with the culture and style of communication that is prevalent. I would have no problem staying there again as I disagree with some of the reviews posted here.
