This hotel has a terrific location on the pedestrian promenade overlooking the harbor, a short stroll from the historic city center, the street market, etc. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated: fresh paint, new curtains and carpets, etc. There weren't lots of amenities, just the usual TV and mini-bar, but everything was clean and fresh. The bathroom had weird showers that did just about everything except scrub your back for you -- but mine leaked water onto the floor. The staff were friendly and helpful: I picked up a rental car (most of the offices are within walking distance) on the second day of my stay, and, although the hotel has no parking of its own, they advised me where to park and how to work the ticket system. Breakfasts were a cut above the usual hotel buffet (they'll make you an omelet if you wish), but I had dinner in the restaurant one night, and wasn't impressed: the soup was barely warm. (Fortunately, there are several good restaurants within walking distance.) My only complaint is that my room faced an alley where the local stray cats had face-offs every night -- but that's not something they could necessarily control. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay in this hotel. It might not be convenient for a business traveler, or someone arriving by car, but it's within walking distance of the ferry, and a great location for sightseeing.
