“Brilliant stay!”

We were originally going to stay three nights, but having been treated to both excellent service from Andro, the apartment owner and fresh apple strudel made by his mother, we immediately lengthened our trip. The location was perfect and the price extremely good. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped with an en-suite bathroom, large terrace and kitchen, along with a stunning view of the islands surrounding Hvar. We were picked up from the ferry port as soon as we arrived and he explained to us where everything was on the island and good things to do (including recommending a boat trip second to none) and at the end of our trip Andro drove us all the way to the other side of the island to a different port. This really was an excellent trip, made better by such hard-working and helpful staff. We will definitely return to Komazin Apartments on a return visit to Hvar!

“Lovely spacious apartment and very friendly hosts”

I stayed at Apartments Komazin in September for 3 nights and would highly recommend to anyone who doesn't mind a little walk from the centre of town (about 10 mins).

The appartment I stayed in was large, light, airy and spotlessly clean with a balcony overlooking the sea and facing the setting sun.

Andro and his mum were wonderful, friendly hosts, going that extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay, with lots of local info and home-made welcome drink on arrival. I also experienced Mama Komazin's famous apple strudel, which lived up to the reviews here.

You're not right in the centre of Hvar here but I liked that, it was a relaxed and real part of town and close to the nicest beach in Hvar.

“a perfect stay”

we've just returned from a nine-day stay at the Apartments Komazin which we chose because of the rave reviews on tripadvisor and i have to say that all the positive comments were completely true
We were picked up by andro, treated to home-made lemonade and limoncello; the appartment was spotless and spacious with a beautiful view. The bed was one of the most comfortable i've slept in- usually, after a few days in a strange bed, you're yearning for your bed at home, but not so here.
Being English, we are usually reluctant to take up people's offers, but andro's mum asked us several times if we wanted any washing done, so in the end we took her up on it; she really treated us like members of the family.
At the moment i've got a badly-broken leg; walking is painful, but a certain amount of exercise is beneficial- i almost had to sneak out if i wanted a walk, because they insisted on making themselves available to drive us everywhere, if andro couldn't make it, then his dad took us. Such hospitality was really touching.
The only negative comment i've seen on any of the reviews was that it was a bit far to walk, but even with a broken leg it wasn't that difficult, and anyway, the walk along the shoreline was beautiful and inspiring every time. We will definitely return.

“Too good to be true!”

My boyfriend stayed at Komazin Apartments for 5 nights in June 2011, and we were astounded at the hospitality of Andro and his parents. He picked us up from the ferry, which saved us the struggle of finding the apartment while lugging our bags. He offered us a drink upon arrival, and spent time showing us all the sites to see and wrote them all down on a map for us. He was extremely welcoming, and we both have never had such an amazing experience away from home before. The apartment was extremely clean, with a well equipped kitchen and TWO balconies! We cooked dinner almost every night because eating on the balcony watching the sun set into the ocean was the best seat in Hvar! Andro's mom made us streudel which my boyfriend loved, and Andro even got us our ferry tickets to leave the island! The value for the money was amazing. He was the best host we have ever had, and we would be lucky to stay here again! We are already planning our next trip back to Hvar!

“A home from home in Hvar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We stayed here for 5 nights at the start of September and can't think of anywhere we have stayed where we were made to feel more welcome.

From the moment we arrived at the apartment once Andro had picked us up you really got a feeling of what was to come - sat drinking home made lemonade (with lemons from their garden) whilst Andro took us through the must-see places in Hvar which all turned out to be fantastic recommendations.

To start with, we can't disagree more about people marking down the location - it is only a 15 minute leisurely stroll to the centre and it is a lovely walk. As well as this, its perch on the hill makes the views from the balcony absolutely stunning.

The apartments are spacious, spotlessly clean and well-equipped and the satellite TV is a really nice touch - you have masses of space and the balcony is equally spacious which makes for great quiet nights sat out admiring the view.

The people are what really make your stay at Komazin though. Andro and his family are lovely, warm, welcoming people and make you feel like family. As mentioned several times on here, Mumma's strudel is legendary!! Andro is also incredibly helpful - on our penultimate day he organised our ferry tickets, actually biking into the centre to get them for us...you don't often get service like that.

We can't sing the praises of Aparments Komazin enough - it really made our holiday and if we ever go back to Croatia will definitely come again. Thank you Andro and family!
