The Falkensteiner Hotel Therapia is an imposing, striking building which sits on the hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The Hotel was built in 1895 & still houses an old fashioned ambiance. Overall' a lovely classical historical hotel which has heaps of character & style.
The hotel is not close to town a car is required if staying at this hotel.
Check in - All went accordingly to plan with no hiccups except trying to find the hotel. There were limited signs around the town, we had to stop & ask the locals.
Room - Our room 102 was a spacious suite which consisted on a separate lounge room & bedroom. Internet was free with a fast connection. Other rooms we saw looked small compared to ours
Unfortunately not having a sea view room we had a street view room which created a problem with the street lights; so hence we had a bad nights sleep. Seaview rooms would be the best option at this hotel.
Restaurant - We had half board dinner included which consisted of buffet entree & a choice for main from the menu. The setting was stunning overlooking the sea on the outdoor terrace. Luckily; the hotel also supplied New Zealand Sav Blanc wine which is our favourite.
Breakfast - We arrived for breakfast at 9.40am & there was hardly any hot food left. We had to ask for extra hot food to be cooked. Apart from the lack of hot food available the selection was varied & good.
Staff - All seemed very friendly & helpful.
Facilities - free outdoor parking, The outdoor swimming pool is lovely which overlooks the with stunning views of the sea. The gardens surrounding the hotel are highly impressive. There is no private beach one has to use the public beach.
