The rooms were very clean and everything worked. No elevator, so if you have loads of suitcases you'll have to carry them up. But that's really the only objection. And on the flip side, the view of the sunset from the 3rd floor was great! Motel is within walking distance to all the restaurants, and the lady who runs it is very friendly and nice.

We stayed here for a week and would recommend it to anyone looking for a chilled out holiday in Croatia.
We received a brilliant welcome from the owner as well as a welcome pack including some wine! The location of the self catering apartments is about 5 minutes from the centre of Cavtat. From our apartment we had fantastic views of the bay.
The apartment was very clean and well kept.

Cavtat is a great place to stay - quiet small but got everything you need - beaches, restaurants, very good bakery! You can take a boat from Cavtat to Dubrovnik which takes about 50 mins and well worth doing. Even saw some dolphins!

Would love to go back again.

For self catering in wonderful Cavtat you cannot wish for better. Almost at the top of the hill, it is not for the unfit but my wife and I in our early 60's managed the walk 2 or three times a day. Anna the Manager, is tremendous and provides you with a fantastic loaf of bread (and it is) coffee, milk and jam. The apartments are spotless!

No need to cook the restaurants in Cavtat range for very good upwards none are even poor! The Tourist Office near the bus station will arrange a very reliable taxi for you. One restaurant out of Cavtat worth a visit in Posydon near Plat. Sit feet away from the Adriatic and watch a sunset that you would not believe. The dinner is, with respect is not nouvell cuisine but the taste of the pork and fresh fish has to be experienced.

Cavtat is relaxation full stop!

We've just returned from our stay at the Red Coral apartments, which were spotlessly clean, bright, modern and comfortable, with a good view over the bay to Dubrovnik. It's only a five minute walk into the town down the hill - but a really steep climb back up though. There's a minimarket near by ( which is much cheaper than the one in town- a litre of the very quaffable local red wine was a mere 24 kuna!)
We found Ana, the owner, a joy - nothing was too much trouble and she was always available if you needed her.
Cavtat is a lovely spot. It was a bit quiet at night for us, however I'm sure that had we gone at the start of September it would have been busier. The harbour has plenty of bars and restaurants, I can recommend the Poseydon for pizza, and there's plenty of fresh fish restaurants. Cavtat is situated in the middle of two peninsulas which don't take long to walk round, and there are plenty of spots for sunbathing and swimming - the sea is absolutely crystal clear and ideal for snorkelling - but watch out for the sea urchins. Dubrovnik itself is beautiful, especially at night, and the local bus normally runs till midnight . We managed to find the Buza bar at sunset where it is glorious to sit with a glass of vino, watching the sun go down & nestled against the city walls. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the shops in Dubrovnik old town - mainly bars, restaurants and tourist tat - but hey, you can't have everything.
