Absolutely lovely decor and furnishings! It's all great, with a very friendly staff and enough English to make things manageable. As metioned in other reviews the location is great. Only modest negative is lack of a view to the mountains, otherwise this is a winner!

Really had a enjoyable stay. It is just a walk away from the main street in the old city so you can get to the shopping area easily. However, it is far enough to get some peace and quiet at night. :) has good heaters too :))

What an excellent hotel right next to the main pedestrian street of wonderful Dali, but in a quiet corner. New hotel in local Bai design. Big rooms with tasteful interior and huge modern bathroom. Friendly staff - they helped using the washing machine and dry the laundry on the rooftop terrace with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Location in the north part of Ancient town is a big plus, because there are many nice, small, cheap restaurants nearby, esp close to the North gate. The local market is close and the main sight of Dali, the Three Pagodas (San Ta) just a leisurely, interesting 30 minute walk from the hotel. If they can continue to offer such low room rates, no other place in Dali can compete.
