Very central, beautiful setting, big and clear bedroom.
Choice of 2 restaurants : we have tested only the western one for breakfast because there is a good choice in town. Since it was low season we did not have the buffet but a good fresh meal.
Staff helpful and speaking decent english. Good service.
Really enjoyable hotel

Landscape Hotel lies in the pedestrian precinct of pittoresque Dali old town, so it is a good home base to start from, but for a maximum of 2 days. Room walls seem to be thin - you can hear everything from arguing neighbours to music and party people outside. Do not forget to take earplugs. Rooms were simple, gloomy and not very clean. Had to call room service to change bed linen and the shower was mostly cold. We did not like the "chose in advance" breakfast concept at all: Chinese and Western food are in separate buildings. Western is ridiculous and of low quality, but who eats Western when coming to China. So opt for the Asian one: large buffet, excellent Yunnan Noodle Soup, Rice Porridge, Sesame Balls... Hotel design and garden structure are worth a relaxing stay, unless there is a conference. Overall, good coice.

This is a nice place located in a calm area of town, with quite big rooms that are clean and have comfy beds. In our bathroom however we found a disgusting shower black with mold, a tired bathtub and towels that had also seen better days. The staff is very helpful and housekeeping went out of their way to check us in at 8am. Forget breakfast at the hotel and go somewhere in the city.

Even though this hotel has only been open a few years it is a typically Chinese. Decor and surroundings are beautiful. Very close to the town for shops restaurants and "local" dining. We had a room which looked onto the courtyard and was lovely. Staff very friendly and would highly recommend this on your visit to China.
