Horrible Hotal. If you have money to pay for this hotal please go down the street. They are much cheaper and much nicer. We Came here for a vacation because my mother suffers from stress. We ended up with more stress than anything. Room was ok at first but one day we walked out to go eat and came back. The maids kept stareing at us. Few hours later we noticed a few items was missing including a 200 doller check and a bottle of lotion!! we told the staff they didn't even care.
Their is one lady I should warn everyone about. Her name is Teresa at the front desk. Light skinned lady with a mustash!! She talks to you like you are a dog. If a business man is in the lobby please reframe from talking to her. She will try to show out as much as she can and talk to you like you are just a person on the streets!! she complained to us saying we ask her too many questions. She complained?! She doesn't get to complain!! We paid our money to stay here and you get emotional and complain!!. Do not use your debit card for this hotal. They will hold the money for pending for almost 18 days. At the last min they will take out their fees and charge extra and have your credit card over drawn!!
They have messed up my credit card account and put me even more in dept. They have taken money and turned around and took it off!!. Why are you screwing with peoples credit cards?! Teresa will get a attitude and roll her eyes at you. Killing part is she is the manager!!
Besides the staff the owner is no better. He walks around mad at the world. Never smileing. He ignores all complaints. All he wants is money. Pool is closed 24/7!!
This hotal should allow pets due to the fact of how discusting it is. Black Mold in the bathroom and on the walls!! microwave is very old and is never cleaned, coffee pot sets and collects dust and is never cleaned. (you expect people to drink out of that?)
A few days ago I dropped some soda on my sheet. You think they washed it!? that same sheet is still on this bed. It smells!! Smells like pee along with other odors. Their is a mustard yellow blanket under the bed spread. Its cheap, and itchy and never gets cleaned. All in All. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTAL. The internet goes on and off all the time. You call and ask what is wrong with it and they get a attitude and say "we don't know ether so why are you calling".
Please travel agents do not book this hotal for any reason. Its not worth it. Its Old, Staff needs to be fired and told off!! They don't act like they even want to be their. A couple roll their eyes at you.
I hope this helps this hotal to loose business because after this day No one should live in this kind of treatment. Please book the hotal across the street!! stay at your familys if you have to but PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. Can't Say I did not warn you. You get what you paid for but in this case it is the other way around. You don't get anything you paid for. The breakfast is nothing but a couple of honey buns and some milk!!! You can get that at the gas station!! Thankfully I am leaveing and never coming back EVER. I rather sleep in a box full of roachs than this hotal. At least the roachs don't treat you like crap!!! They have made my mother cry repeatly and caused us so much stress for just 2 weeks of staying. Not worth it.

After I gave such a good review of this place, I booked a night there last night. The first room she gave me had bugs crawling in it, and furniture ON THE BED, and I was just too tired and sleepy to move it. So the night clerk gave me another room. It SEEMED to be better. The tub was clogged, so I couldn't/didn't take a shower, and it had a bug problem as well. So I will not be going back. I didn't even eat any breakfast they had. They need to call Terminix or some bug spraying company ASAP!

I've stayed at this location several times before, but this was the last time. I stayed two nights, one on each end of a vacation. The first night was OK, but the last wasn't. This has recently been downgraded to an Econo-Lodge and when you see it, you'll understand why. It has outdoor corridors. OK, I can deal with that, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed there. I was staying in room 100 which is on the outside corner of the first floor. The room needed new carpet desperately. Lots of stains. I also had a "companion" for the night of the 6-legged kind. I was talking to the front desk about the noisy group on the stairs outside the door when it walked in, so I couldn't get to a shoe fast enough to squish it. Made me wonder what other "things" might be in there. Another reason we'd booked there was that there was a Waffle House next door, so having a 6 AM flight, that would be about the only place open to eat before we left. Walked in there about 3 AM only to be told they were out of food. I don't recommend going to the WH on University Ave and I-65 about that time on a Fri morning either. The 3 security guards outside should have been a clue. Back to the subject, this hotel has gone down considerably in the past few years. I'd think twice before staying there.

I spent a few days here because of nearby business; it was horrible. Mold in the carpet from a leaking air conditioner; complaints regarding it went unheard. Poor maid service; sometimes they changed the towels and added shampoo; sometimes not.

Overnight packages that arrived simply languished at the desk; they did not have sense enough to notify the guest.

A burly, nasty "security guard" with an unnecessarily prominently displayed gun lurked in the lobby, giving all the evil eye....even guests.

The pool was closed, and stayed closed, without explanation.

The lobby staff seemed functionally disabled; downright stupid.

Birmingham has a great freeway system, and a lot of hotels. Go up the road an exit or two and get away from this dump!
