On my first stay at this hotel, the front desk didn't follow through on my wake up call request. Last month (OCt. 2011) when I returned, I was greeted by a front desk attendant who did not want to honor my company's corporate rate. I just happened to have the letter from their sales manager to my company's staff assistant outlining the corporate rate offer - on their hotel letterhead. When I presented that to the person, she said they didn't have a sales person, I guess implying that I was trying to run an elaborate scam to save $11. She finally relented and gave me the corporate rate that I had gotten with no haggling on my previous stay.
I thought everything was fine until I checked my Wyndham Rewards statement and found out I had not been credited for my stay. When I questioned why by e mail, the reply came back 8 business days later that I was entitled to any reward points because the rate for my stat was a wholesale rate. I had to make a phone call back to Wyndham Rewards folks and explain what happened before I was credited.
I guess what makes matters worse is I received a survey request both times I stayed here. I put my problems on the survey, but nobody contacted me personally to address them.
I have no problems with the hotel. It's basically what you would expect from a Wingate Inn. The rooms are clean, the hotel looks fairly new, and the location is convenient. I don't expect to be pampered when I stay in a hotel in this price range, nor do I usually have any interaction with the service staff unless something is wrong, so I am disappointed when an occasional opportunity for customer service is botched.
