The good: Rooms are clean and newly renovated and attractive with dark wood. There are a number of good restaurants both next to the hotel and less than a mile down the road in Mountain Brook Village. Service is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast. Location is extremely convenient to the highway.
The bad: Space is at a premium here -- the rooms are a little cramped, as is the breakfast area downstairs. Rush hour traffic in front of the hotel is pretty brutal and will lead to significant delays if you're arriving or departing at the wrong time.
