Great place to stay with on/off access to I459/ hwy 280. get to any part of Birmingham with ease. Clean rooms, great staff.

My home, away from home when travelling to Birmingham, AL!! The staff are welcoming, and their attention to detail is great, from check-in to check-out - no need is too much trouble. I tell them they are like family - except they are nicer than some of my family! Recent renovations have made the rooms even nicer - and the location proximate to the amenities the business traveller needs are great - easy access to major interstates, shopping, restaurants, Staples for printing, etc. are wonderful!

I travel constantly in my business, and deal with the front desk in many hotels - and have found the staff team at this hotel to be exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating! Restaurant recommendations are always forthcoming - on my most recent trip, they gave me a map to show me where I needed to be and told me the best route to take to avoid morning rush-hour traffic (better than my GPS)!

I have recommended this hotel to colleagues, and other travellers on planes - it is that good!!

The front desk staff was exceptional. I was very impressed with the renovations of the rooms. When I stayed here years ago, the hotel had an antique feel and was different from every other Hampton I have stayed at. Now it is modern and fresh! Breakfast had a new item, freshly made oatmeal which I enjoyed as a healthy option with dried fruit and flavored brown sugar. Will continue to stay here when I travel to Birmingham.

Stayed there for business on 1/24. Good location but bed was "concave", room was musty and needed updating. I am used to having hardboiled eggs on the breakfast bar at Hampton Inn's. I asked the attendant if they had some and she said not anymore...why ? "we had to cut back"
