“Stay here for clean, comfortable stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I am a road warrior traveling 4 to 5 days per week for the past four years. The rooms are fresh and clean, new (unstained) furniture and stylish decor. Built for the business traveler with lots of electrical outlets for charging devices. Bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly, professional and helpful. They deliver what and when they say they will, be it breakfast--- (hot and on-time room service!) or coordinating a taxi when you are ready for it! The lobby is true Southern style with a modern flair- very refreshing! Business Center right off the lobby to print boarding passes. Too bad I had to travel to my next destination. I will stay here when in the area again and suggest all business travelers do the same!

Room Tip: I had room close to elevator and this was not disturbing at all. I think any room would be terrific.

“Nice, comfortable stay for conference.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I stayed one night for a conference.

Pros:
The hotel itself was very nice. There was plenty of parking. Check-in was very quick & easy. The lobby is very pretty & even has a gorgeous fountain in the middle of a nice sitting/eating area this was a great set up for a medium-size conference. I didn't use the fitness room, but it seem to have a lot of equipment & there were several people working out when I passed by. I saw the indoor pool from a distance & it looked nice. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but have heard good things about it. The hotel staff was very nice. The set up for the conference seemed to flow without a hitch including the 2 meals provided by the hotel. One meal was a buffet, which was never crowded. They actually had 2 buffets set up so if one got crowded someone from the hotel staff would direct you to the other one. The other meal was sitting on the table, ready to eat when we left our meeting. The meeting rooms were very nice & seemed to have everything that was needed for conference meetings. Absolutely great service & management.
The room had 2 very comfortable beds, with way too many pillows:) there was a nice flat screen tv, a comfortable chair with a matching ottoman, lamp & side table. The desk in the room was very large & had ports for video inputs & extra outlets for charging electronics. The lamp on the table between the two beds had two outlets on which was nice for charging my phone & keeping it close by while I slept ( since I also use it for my alarm clock.) The bathroom was very nice. They had bath & body works shampoo & conditioner, a hair dryer, a coffee maker & lots of extra towels. There was a large closet with an iron & ironing board, and also a robe with an ample amount of hangers.

Cons:
My room was very nice with just a few exceptions...some mildew in the grout of the shower. An iPod/iPhone charger would have been a nice addition to the desk panel. I had to pay an extra $10 for wifi service in my room. Something much cheaper hotels include in the room fee. There were only 2 elevators, which was difficult when most of the people staying there are at the same conference & trying to use the elevators at the same time. There were a few long waits for the elevators.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

“Home Away From HOme”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I've been staying at the Bham Marriott everyday week for the past year and a half for business. I wouldn't stay anywhere else for business or personal travel in the city. Perfect location in the most up-and-coming part of town. The staff is AWESOME! They put a smile on my face everyday with cheerful greetings and sincere enthusiasm. Genuinely good people work here!

Room Tip: All rooms are good. The Concierge levels are 7 & 8. In the 8th floor lounge, Ed is great at nig...

“Christmas Shopping Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

I was disappointed that I did not receive the two beds requested but a king instead. They did furnish a rollaway . My fault for not asking ahead if there were any conventions or large groups booked there. Big group of soccer players there and our room was right by the elevator so it was noisy most of the night. The room was extremely hot and after two days it never cooled adequately. Nice lobby and bar area, and good parking. Very close to shopping at The Summit .
