We decided to stay the night in Birmingham last minute because of the time the concert we were going to would be over with. We called around, and had a difficult time finding rooms. We finally found a vacancy here. The Hotel looked old, but the lobby was clean and the front desk man was nice, so we stayed. The room smelled nice, but that is because the carpet had just been cleaned and later discovered that the floors were still wet. Red stains started to come through later in the evening, and I thought a child had spilled juice or something. The headboards were crooked and I thought it was from moving things around to clean the carpet. We decided to make the best and go ahead and stay since home was 4 hours away. The beds were so uncomfortable that I decided to try to sleep in a separate bed from my husband. I got up in darkness and laid down. AT 3:45a.m someone knocked on our door. When we tried to look out they stepped to the side, probably going to rob us if we opened the door. We decided to leave. I picked up my pillows and underneath, Dried, UNWASHED, BLOOD SPATTER....not mine. We just left as quickly as possible, I haven't slept right since we left for thinking of what could have happened in that room!
