PROS: Free wireless internet, easy access off Hwy 280, Indoor Pool appears clean, Continental Breakfast (did not try), Night Staff very friendly
CONS: Room isn't up to Marriott standards
OUR STAY: Booked room for two nights, second night was only to come back and shower next morning after hospital stay with son. The room (105) looked older and the dresser appeared as if it came from Goodwill (nothing against Goodwill, but not what I expect from Marriott brand). My wife accidentally ran her foot under end of bed skirt and kicked an old pair of boxer shorts that had been left from a previous stay. The bathroom was fairly clean, no hair, but the shower curtain was not very clean and the toilet had some crud around the bottom as if the wax ring was leaking.
We left next morning at 9:45am, removed Do Not Disturb, and asked Housekeeping (who was directly across hall) for new towels and tissues. When my wife returned the next morning around 6:00am from hospital, housekeeping had not touched our room at all. The front desk said we must have left DND sign on door, which I know is not the case. We're pretty easy going folk, but very disappointing, especially after long night at hospital.
Room Tip: Do not settle for 105 or anything like it

At the Fairfield Inn Birmingham Inverness, we go above and beyond to ensure each of our guests has an excellent experience during their stay. The guests who posted this survey did request service from our housekeeping staff, but only requested that they receive a replenishment of their paper products. When the housekeeper asked the guest if they wanted a full service of their room, they indicated to her that everything was fine and that all they needed was a replacement for their facial tissue. Contrary to the guests posting, we were never made aware of these issues prior to their posting. Our organization prides itself on making sure we exceed every guests expectations everyday. If a guest contacts us regarding an issue with their stay, we will respond quickly and effeciently to ensure the guests total satisfaction. Additionally, we are working on a daily basis to improve our products and services for our guests in order to make your stay more enjoyable.
