What I thought I was doing was saving money but instead I wasn't following the old cliche, "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is. I stayed at the Intown Suites on Oxmoor road. Leaving behind a clean comfortable nice hotel to stay at the Intown dump. Upon walking in the room I noticed that the carpet was matted and sticky. Never took my shoes off. Caulking was holding the cabinets up and the pictures advertising the rooms were a lot larger then the actual room. The cleaner used to tidy the place left such a strong odor that it made my nose run and eyes water. But did I save some money? Why yes I did. Would I stay there again? NO! If allowed, here is a short video of the room. Working 12 hour shifts, I didn't have time to shop for a good room. I had to go by what the advertisements said. That was a mistake. I stayed at the Intown Suites on Oxmoor road from 04/22/11 to 05/02/11. I stayed in room 302 for the first week. I had no issues other then a little noise from the upstairs neighbor. I woke up on 04/29/11 to get ready for work and found sewage on the bathroom floor. Sewage was coming up from the shower drain, toilet, and through the wall from room 334. I made a phone call to room 117 (Courtesy Officer). It was 6:00 am and he was did not respond. I called the office number and got an answering machine. I could not use my shower or toilet. I had to make due with a large trash can until housekeeping showed up for work at 8:30am. I called down to the Head Quarters in Atlanta later that morning. I spoke to a woman in payroll. She said the Mr. Archer would be contacting me back regarding my emergency maintenance concern. Maintenance came about 9:00am to fix the issues. He worked on my bathroom and a few other rooms over the next 2 hours. I told the maintenance man that I had to be at work and needed a shower. After 2 hours of working on the backed up sewage system, he finally offered me another room. I am still waiting for the Head Office to respond to the letter I faxed on 05/02/11. I spoke with the Property Manger (Jobe) and he was rude and disrespectful. I will never stay at any Intown Suites. I also think a few female guest were street walkers. I will spend the extra money to stay at Value Place! I will be relocating there on 05/03/11

My company put me up in this hotel, and boy let me tell you....

The towel thing is stupid. One set of towels that they never wash nor replace, no replacing soaps, toilet paper or anything.
It's just a room, they clean it once a week, and it definately shows.
Mold around everything in the bathroom, knob on bathtub was detached. Room smells like a dead dog that has been layed in a smoking lounge for a couple of years. Stove didn't work when I was here. No hot water sometimes... It was a great experience. And get this, they are only open from 11am to 7pm... How can you run a hotel from 11am to 7pm? Then they don't even answer the phone if you call during those hours... I originally was at the North Birmingham InTown Suites, but the first night I was there someone was shot and killed infront of my room. Things just get better and better...
