I have just spent 4 nights here. Let me say that I travel for business combined with pleasure, I stay in hotels almost every week for 2-4 nights across the S.E. so I have experienced the good, the bad & the ugly & I am picky within reason (hate dirt, mold & or stench). The room was clean (more in a second) with microwave, coffeepot, full size refrigerator, stove and basic utensils and pans so you can cook your meals if you so desire. Outdoor pool to cool to use while I was there. Because it has a mini kitchenette they do not serve breakfast, just coffee (so they say but I couldn't locate it). Unlike my stay last week in Candlewood Tallahassee, Fl this hotel was clean but showing it's age, floors could use better cleaning, beds OK not the best staff was just there. No sign of bugs and believe me I look!
I stayed here 2 or 3 times in the past but it has been almost 3yrs and I am disappointed with it's condition.
Remember this is a suite hotel and like all of the suite hotels they give you more amenities in the room but room service is only once per week, so if you need a change of sheets or clean towels you go to the front desk and do it yourself.
Overall my stay was pleasant and comfortable and the location is convenient (and safe) to most of Birmingham with plenty of stores and food joints in the area (Try Full Moon for BBQ), it is a good value for your buck if you want (or need a kitchenette)
Room Tip: If you like to sleep in (past 8:15-8:30AM) Do not stay in rooms 113 or 115 right across from houseke...
