“Its 5am. I'm lying in bed I'm crying...”

In summary-I got here yesterday. Got the room 234 and wasn't all that impressed but for 2 days it would suffice. Outdated but really nice location and it happens to be event weekend so prices are raised. Well...1. The guy on the desk "Matthew" makes a comment when I return and need my key rekeyed. Says it'll be $500. I told him y'all got my credit card so I don't want not issues, then he says oh that's cash as I walked away (no so funny joke) 2. As I get to my room its maybe 1015pm and the toilet which worked earlier, overflows!! I called the front desk. Tell Matthew I need another room, the toilet overflowed. He says they're soldout, no more rooms, he's on his way up but calls back 5mins later to say he knows nothing about toilets, he's getting someone. I know no one will show so I call back requesting towels, I used mine to catch the water. He brought them. But not even a plunger?? So all night the only bathroom available would be the lobby or elswhere. I get up at 5 to walk my dog to pee but I have to go bad too. So we go to the lobby, ring the doorbell like 20x, the door is locked, no one answers. He comes from around the corner outside, asks if he can help me. I told him I needed to used the bathroom. He says my 13lb minpin couldn't come in the lobby. I told him I just needed to used the bathroom that I didn't have time to take him back to the room. its not my fault the toilets broken and u didnt fix it or move me so u can be inconvenienced for a few minutes. He refused. I said i'd only be a few minutes (I didnt want to leave my toydog outside but didn't have time to go back to the room and back). He refused. Said there were cameras and he would lose his job. I say ok and attempted to pin the leash in the door where he would be outside but couldn't get away. Mathew wouldn't let me do that! He continues yelling at me that there were cameras and he would lose his job, blocking me from coming in. He's yelling and I'm trying to explain to him what I was doing. He wasn't listening continuing to yell my dog wasn't coming in, it was policy. Then he threatened like 3x did I want him to call the police! I'm in tears that he wouldn't listen. I say his name "Matthew" hoping to calm him so he would listen, now showing him instead of explaining then he finally let me in saying he wasn't losing his job. So I hurry and use the bathroom and leave now I'm writing this waiting for management and maintenance. Outcome? Inbox or try 333.5evil@gmail.com

“Cockroaches”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

I was run out of this hotel by cockroaches. When I immediately went to the fron desk to check out, they refused to cancel the room and billed me for it anyway. Absolutely poor customer service. I will never stay there again!

Room Tip: Be sure that this facility will charge you even if your departure is thier fault!

“Clean but dated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Otherwise the room looked like it had not been updated in 20ys. There were 2 double beds but looked smaller to me. As I looked around the room I could see where second rate repairs had been done. For the price it is OK but if you are looking for "nice' accomodations, move on.

“typical”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

The usual case of getting what you pay for. This is a normal no frills hotel. The staff was pleasant enough and the location is pretty decent. The breakfast is ok. It claims to be hot, but it was really just a waffle maker. It did the trick for us since there were many hotels listed on TA in this area that were a bit scary.

“Great Location”

After reading other reviews on here I was skeptical. I packed an extra towel, washcloth, pillow and cover just in case. I needed a room that was cheaper than the hotel recommended for my convention. I don't mind staying in older hotels that are kept nice. This one meet and exceeded my expectations. The host at the front desk found me a room that was a better deal and answered all my questions. the sheets stayed on the bed all night. (Mattresses have stains but I bet most all do!) Internet worked in the room. I am posting this on my last night here as a matter of fact. Found no mold and oh yeah I brought a house coat because I was afraid the curtain wouldn't close. It did just fine. Now the heating cooling system was definitely older but worked fine. Continental breakfast was typical and fresh. Everything I ate was good. Served Gravy, Sausage, Biscuit,, Bagels, Toast, Boiled Eggs, Cereal, Juice Coffee etc... Anyway, I will definitely stay here again. I left the parking lot went through red light to Home Depot then turned to go to my convention at the Wynfrey Hotel. I was there in less than 10 minutes.(parked and in building).
