have stayed here for the past 3 years. this used to be a Best Western, then was Riverchase and now is a Days Inn. In this travelers opinion, they have changed their name trying to change their bad reputation.
Checked in and our first room had saturated carpets and had a very strong cat urine type odor. When i complained, the front desk was not apologetic and seemed to be aware of the issues with this room. also, the wi-fi did not work and they were not sure when it would be working. i found out later that the internet was supposed to working in another building but was not offered. also, several people in my group had the same foul smelling rooms and wet carpet.
i changed rooms and this one was "less smelly" but the wi-fi did not work but they told me it did in the lobby. i accessed internet on my bus and the location i was working at but never at the hotel. my room had a broken carafe and the sheets on the beds are hard as rocks. also, they do not use fitted sheets. they use the flat sheets and were a constant problem coming loose while sleeping. see photos i have included.
also, around the windows there is a huge gap so people walking by can look around your curtains into the mirror giving a wide open view of the room and your bed. this makes for some serious security issues. if someone can see in your room, it is not only a privacy problem as well as allowing someone to see what you have, if you are there making it an invitation to a break-in.
the room air was so bad and damp, i wondered if this attributed to my son getting a sinus infection. mold is concern of mine.
i also saw mold growing around the adjacent rooms' air conditioning. there were so many issues, some serious, i can't post all of them. my attached photos tell a better story.
