The room was very comfortable and well-furnished. The same goes for the whole hotel. The location is great, with the only drawback being its proximity to noisy bars

Visited YangShuo a years or so ago with a buddy of mine and we both stayed at Magnolia for a couple of nights as recommended by our guide. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at this nicely decorated hotel. The hotel location is excellent, right next to West Street. Also, there is a laundry and lots of great restaurants nearby.

Service was good and the room were clean. Rates were very reasonable and definitely good value. Will definitely stay there again if I ever have the chance to visit.

This is a very good, well-priced hotel - but the nightclub next door makes sleep difficult!

The other reviewers have done a pretty accurate job of describing this hotel. Our group was here in the first week of October, China's national holiday and Yangshuo Town was swamped by hordes of domestic tourists. As a result, the surrounding streets were packed with people and the (very) nearby karaoke bars and nightclubs played extremely loud music until the wee hours, denying sleep to any who wanted it (mere silicone earplugs were no match for the pounding bass).

Of course, this is not Magnolia's fault. The rooms were quite comfortable and very clean, with staff that were extremely friendly. A nearby cafe provided a breakfast far better than typical breakfast buffets. Unfortunately, individual rooms do not have a safe, so be sure to put your passport in reception's safe.

Perhaps the hotel is quieter outside of holiday week, but once the music stops there is nothing to worry about.
