This is a wonderful lodge in the foothills of the Andes, with the best hosts imaginable. Will and Carolina are warm, caring and interesting people, who make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we were so well cared for. The food is wonderful, fresh, home made and thoughtful; the rooms comfortable and serene, and the location is beautiful. Notwithstanding the long stretch of dirt roads to get to the lodge, it is located right in the heart of the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's finest wine valleys. At the lodge you can relax, enjoy the pool and hot tub, horse ride or go fishing, enjoy the games room, gaze at the stars at night, take a walk (usually accompanied by the two family dogs), or enjoy fine conversations with other guests or your great hosts.We'll definitely return. This place is a hidden gem!

Having thought I'd seen it all in Chile after years of travelling the country north to south, I realised how mistaken I was after staying at the Tumuñan Lodge. This is a gem of a spot and must be included with a typical trip to Chile that takes in San Pedro, Torres del Paine etc. Hosts Will and Caroline create the magic in an already magical environment. That special 'Andean atmosphere' feel is very much alive here, and is soaked up with the fantastic BBQ style local food in the evening with great local wines, and the fresh coffee and bread cut through the pure morning Andean haze, stimulating all the senses. The surrounding scenery is stunning, as beautiful as I have seen in this country.
In a nutshell, for me it was as difficult leaving Tumuñan Lodge than it was departing any other of my favourite South American destinations. I will return, and that's not usual for me!

I just spent several nights at the Tumunan lodge. What a superb place.

The owners, Will and Carolina are a charming couple, who welcome you as if you were part of the family. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with lovely linen and fluffy towels

Will and Carolina do all the cooking themselves and the food is good home cooked and certain satisfy you after a days adventures. If you get the krill cakes, they are wonderful.

We went fly fishing, Will is an expert and knows the best spots. Within minutes he had hooked the first Rainbow trout of the session. Even novice first timers like myself, were hooking a few.

There are horse treks up mountains, ten meter waterfalls, where the brave, can jump into refreshing mountain water. There are also trips to thermal springs, and as the lodge is in one of the top ten wine regions in the world (according to Wine Enthusiast magazine) Wine tours can be arranged and fitted to each clients preferences. There are many of Chile's top wineries within an hours drive.

We did a 6 hour horse trek up a mountain with an expert guide, a true Huaso de campo, born and raised within a few miles of the lodge. He was tough but friendly, and you knew you were in safe hands.

I can highly recommend this as a great place to get away for a few days and discover nature.

We had such a wonderful time at Tumunan Lodge. Will & Carolina were wonderful hosts, serving great meals and they treated us so warmly.

The property is beautiful. The lodge has luxurious rooms and the family room has a cozy fireplace. There is also a deck which is perfect for enjoying the surroundings. Furthermore there is a even a stunning pool and a charming hot tub!

There are breath taking mountains surrounding the lodge, with tons of great outdoor opportunities. During our time there, Will set us up with a great horseback ride, where we rode up towards the mountains and jumped off of a great secluded waterfall. The guide was very helpful, and the ride was one of the highlights of our South America trip.

I would highly recommend Tumunan lodge for anyone looking to enjoy a great stay in a wonderful part of Chile.
