“Good place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

After a couple of nights in Uyuni, this was like heaven. I stayed here for three nights and was very happy with it.

The room was adequate and communal areas were really good with free tea and coffee in the day. Also free wi-fi which was good.

Slight moan was the shower was not very good but overall good. It is about 4 mins walk from the main street in San Pedro which has loads of decent eateries. I was very impressed with San Pedro as a whole, especially coming via Bolvia to get there !

“Lovely place to stay”

We had a six night stay here and really enjoyed it. There were a lot of welcome extras included in the price - the breakfasts were brilliant, there was free wi-fi and bottled water every day and a free laundry service which, although was very useful, didn't leave the clothes feeling overly clean or fresh. It was still really handy though, especially coming in the middle of a long trip. The bed in our room was enormous, although the bathroom was a little small. The location was also very good, just a short walk from the centre of town, but far enough away so that there was very little noise or disruption. Overall, this hotel is very much recommended.

“Just alright”

just a few little things:

good things: 1) free wifi 2) pack lunch for excursions 3) free tea and coffee day or night

Bad things: 1) paper thin walls, i can hear everything from the other rooms, and i mean everything!!!!!, conversations, toilet flush, shower and money being dropped.
2) the restaurant, the waitresses stand at the top of the room and stare and wait and stare and wait to be summoned to do something. ate here twice and didnt enjoy due to the uncomforting stares from staff
3) no water in the pool

“Enjoyable stay at this comfy hotel”

The hotel is located about 300m from the main street in San Pedro de Atacama, easy walking distance. So it's mostly quiet at night. The rooms are large and clean. Bathrooms are well stocked, some maybe a bit small. Also every traveler gets a bottle of water for every night of stay which seems a nice touch, I haven't seen this before. The staff is very friendly and can speak English. Their breakfast was one of the best during our trip in Chile, they have deli meats/cheese/selection of breads/yogurts and even hot omelet. Coffee and tea are available any time during a day, it was a nice touch. The hotel has free WIFI but you have to sit in the lobby to use it which is kind of inconvenient, the signal doesn't reach guest rooms :-( So we browsed Internet, made calls while sipping tea... One main downside was a tiny heater in a room that actually works but doesn't heat a room at all but this matters only in winter. And, yes, no TV but we didn't care as we never stay in a room anyway.
Yes, it is not cheap - $133 for a double room and ~ $170 for 3 ppl but it's worth it if you'd like to spend a few days in San Pedro de Atacama and be able to take nice showers and have a good breakfast every day... Note, San Pedro has cheap hostals (if you are into those) for about $60 per night and luxury resorts for $300 so this hotel is the best option considering everything...

“Lots to offer and great service”

My husband is from Chile so I enjoy learning about his home country. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The customer service is amazing. So friendly and helpful. They helped us plan tours we wanted to take. We had the most amazing tour guide take us to the natural geysers at dawn. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast but since we were leaving before the breakfast service, the staff packed us a breakfast to take a long with us.
We also took tours around the desert and watched the sunset on a high cliff.
The rooms here are nice. Nothing special but very clean. We had enough space and we thought it was a nice tough that we got complimentary bottles of water from housekeeping every day. The Wi-fi is slow but I was on vacation so I tried not to be on the computer anyway.
San Pedro is an amazing place to visit. The crafts and jewelry I found were amazing quality and at great prices. The food here was amazing. These restaurants offer gourmet food at great prices. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in San Pedro de Atacama.
