We stayed here on an Intrepid tour. Our double room was clean and spacious with television and fridge. The bathroom was spacious and convenient with a shower over a bath.
There is a cafe opposite but a great option for breakfast is the vegetarian restaurant just north of the Asia Hotel (sister hotel to the Star on the next corner). There is also the Kwan Yin vegetarian restaurant just opposite for other meals during the day.

We stayed here only 1 night, after the boattrip from Siem Reap to Battambang (which was fabulous!). It's nothing special.

* The rooms are alright and clean, although I found the furniture really ugly haha.
* Bad customer service: they don't speak english at reception, and don't even try to give any information. We had no idea when we could have breakfast and where, and the phones in the room didn't work (so we had to walk 6 floors down, to be sent to the rooftop again). Most of the times there's not even somebody there.
* Breakfast was pathetic: worst coffee I ever had, in some kind of lonely room on the rooftop with no atmosphere, only 2 tables and 1 staff member sitting at the top table like a teacher.

This hotel really has potention, but they're just not making the most of it.

Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation run by friendly and helpful staff. Only problem we had was with the hot water which was immediately fixed (a fuse had tripped). The hotel currently doesn't serve breakfast - the top story dining area was been renovated, but the views from up there were good. There are many nearby eating options - suggest walking south to Gecko or Sunrise Coffee House if you are after western food, otherwise, local food everywhere.

The family who owns this hotel were riendly, gracious, generous and very helpful. The accomodation was excellent. We will certainly be back. marcelle and Trish Sydney Australia
