We stayed as a family in this hotel from 18 September - 2 October 2011. It was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. The family rooms are all 2 inter-connecting rooms, which worked well for us. The only thing about the hotel I wouldn't rate was the food. More catered toward other nationalities. Also, we stayed last 2 weeks of season and found same meals reappearing reheated from lunch at dinner time. There was always something we could eat but got bored of same stuff by end of the 2 weeks. Also, the smell of fish in the restaurant was over powering. We quite often had to leave because of it & take our food to eat at the tables outside, though the wasps annoyed us then! The other down fall for us was as a family there was nothing outside the hotel. We weren't advised prior to our holiday that by the start of September the water park closes for the season. It was around 20 minutes walk from Nessebar, which had some shops and pubs. Most of the restaurants it was just fish, which we don't like. Old Nessebar was another 15 minutes walk on the other side of Nessebar. If we returned we would stay there. It was a beautiful wee town with loads of old buildings and stalls, shops and restaurants all central. We found 2 English there on our 2nd last night and ate there for our final 2 evenings. We did go an arranged trip to Varna to see the dolphins, great trip and we priced getting taxis compared to going the trip but that was too costly. The bus journey takes longer than advertised and that wasn't great with the kids, but Varna was a lovely place. We wish we had more time there. There are also buses to Sunny Beach but we went in the hotel taxi, which was reasonable. It was too commercialised for us, but better for kids. More to do and nicer beach.
