Just returned from a fantastic weeks skiin and boardin in Borovets. hotel Flora was great , massive appartment , clean and very quiet . Stayed BnB and there was something to eat even for picky teenagers !!!!!! . snow was fab and no queues apart from saturday but you excpect that !!!!Ate out in the evening , had some lovely food in Black Tiger , Happy Duck and Revolution . Boardin park was open and is really good but only small , but it has only just opened !!! . Staff in hotel were very helpful even though they don,t speak any English but hey i dont speak any Bulgarian but could get everything we needed . Clean towels every day and room cleaned every day . After reading reviews about theft was a bit cautious but had i pods ps2 in room n had no probs !!!! I would def go back to the hotel and Borovets is great for a budget ski/boarding holiday !!!!!

Whilst I cant complain about the location of the hotel, the room was very sub-standard especially when listed at 4*, the shower curtain was too short, after showering the entire bathroom floor was flooded - was very dangerous as the floor became slippery. There was no hairdryer in the room, and the glasses were never changed the entire week we stayed there. The swimming pool was freezing, couldnt use it at all, and everything else to use ie sauna and steam room - was an addition charge.The food was fine especially the breakfast but the serving staff would reach accross the table to lift empty plates, I once nearly got an elbow in my face, I think they would need some training. Borovets itself was great value for skiing but I would stay in the likes of the Rila Hotel which would be on the same price band as the Flora

Stayed at flora hotel 5th -12th feb 11. Yes the food is not scalding hot but it's not cold either..breakie was spot on, good vairety with fruit cereals and bacon eggs etc, evening meals again good, with good selection. The main thing was it was all cooked, as reading reviews before we went we were rather concerned obviously!! Rooms were warm, beds were ok, no problem sleeping , i have stayed at a lot of hotels around the world and this one is perfectly fine, also 5 mins from slopes, book with confidence

Our mobile phone which was not in a safe was taken from our room. We were able to narrow the time it was taken to 2 hours while we were out and coincided with a maintenance problem being attended to. The scary part is it was returned 2 days later and placed in the safety deposit box. This is a major breach of security for this hotel and therefore i would recommend people to avoid..
