I do not recomend this hotel for so many reasons I don't know where to start from. We've stayed at Lorena's during a month, because it was close to an important hospital at sao paulo where me and my fiance where having a felowship in september 2010, so i think i would be a good reviewer.
Actually, the location was really good for the purpose.
Other than that, I would rate the room "tolerable" , once the air conditioning was working fine, the shower was warm and good, the towels and sheets were good, there was cable TV and the rooms were cleaned every day. The negative about the room was the size of it, very tinny. Even beeing a non smooking hotel, since there is a law saying so in brazil, it allways smelled like smoke and some days cigars too. When we complained at the font desk, de concierge has told me "it is impossible to control it because there are so many rooms" .
I find it is not an excuse. That's unacceptble. Other than that it was sometimes very noisy at our room because there are allways big groups staying at the hotel. Once again if you complain they use the same excuse that the hotel is too big and so one.
The swimmimg pool is terrible, the gym is deteriored, the sauna is so ridiculous i wouldn't say anything about. There is so many rooms at the hotel that they should provide more elevators so you shouldn't wait alllways like 20 minutes to get into it. There is allways a line in front of the front desk to talk to de few staff that seemed to be allways in bad mood.
The breakfest is ok, but once again there is too many people for the staff and number of chairs to sit.
The restaurants are not good as well.
The hotel rates itself as a four star hotel. That is the biggest joke I've ever seen, I would rate as a two stars hotel in bad conditions.
Do not stay there, you would regret for sure, unless youre only concern is about location.
