I can't explain how bad my experience was at this hotel.
Firstly, nobody speaks any other language than portuguese. The service is awful, not welcoming at all, and a little bit mean.
The rooms are very old circo 1970s and totally falling a part . So dirty that by the end of the day my husband's white socks had turned brown.
Breakfast was ok, but with much less variety than a US-style continental breakfast.
Not worth the US$100.00 per night or the AA miles!

I cannot begin to tell you how bad this "hotel" is. First off the only language spoken by anyone from the Manager down is Portuguese. Nobody speaks English or any other language except Portuguese. The room was last refurbished, I would guess, around the mid-70's and has not been touched since. The furniture is old,chipped and wobbly. The wardrobe smelled of damp and dust. The carpet was old, stained and frayed and the bathroom just didn't feel clean, maybe because it was so old. Breakfast was in a bizzare bar/nightclub space with dimmed lighting and consisted of a choice of two fruits, some tired ham and cheese and slices of bread (not even a toaster). The internet was so slow I gave up. When I complained that they were charging me $5.00 a day and I couldn't use it (it took me 15 minutes to get this through to them), they shrugged and gave me the phone number of the provider. To cap it all, I paid around $120.00 per night for my room via an international booking site. In error, they gave me a schedule showing their local rate, which was around $45.00 per night! Overall a complete disaster. To be avoided at all costs.

We stayed at the Premier Othon Flat in Sao Paulo for two night.
The room was old, clean fare from being good, reception ok on arrival, only the day porter was a very nice guy.
We spent the first without any problem... but the second one was terrible or nightmarish!
We went to bed at around 1am, all lights switch off, and while we were half asleep my partner woke up suddenly because someone was in our room staring at us sleeping! This is not a joke! so we both woke up and chased the guy down the corridor! I do not know how he got into the room but believe me this was a very scary experience. The big trouble is that nothing was stolen from our room so the guy was up for something else. I cannot imagine what would have happened if my partner didn't wake up straight away! So of course we went to reception the night porter wasnt helpefull really not knowing what to do...and hardly believed us! Nobody called the police and i spoke over the phone to the manager who was telling me that it was impossible someone got in our room (a real joke! such answer...this is Sao Paulo man!) not even were we offered another room...absolutely nothing! We just spent the night awake scared someone else come again! Well as you would guess I tell you stay away from this hotel or do it to your own risk! Next day we checked in at the Tulipp Golden Plaza Hotel two block only from Premier Othon and just £5.00 extra a very good hotel top reception and very safe!
Well you have been warned! Oh forgot to tell they even ask me to pay 18 reals for telephone at the Premier Othon Hotel...even after our terrible experience!!!
