Had a terrible experience with this hotel and have found out they have a pattern of deceiving customers in the reservation process since they split away from the other George V in Alto Pinheiros (which is a wonderful hotel by the way) in a way that leads to multiple charges...don't trust them!!

I stayed at the George V for two nights while in Sao Paulo on business. It was close to my office and in a safer neighborhood. I liked that there were nice restaurants within a block. I ate at the sushi restaurant 5 min from George V and it was amazing. Everything in this area seems expensive to me (and I'm from the Bay Area)! The staff at the hotel was amazing: friendly and helpful. English proficiency at front desk were great.

This hotel is SP's best-kept secret. I managed to secure a room here a couple of weeks before the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix, when all hotels in town are booked solid!

It's not as flashy as the the Fasano, or Grand Hyatt, but its location is unbeatable: I could walk to many meetings, restaurants and bars from there, which is a great advantage in traffic-choked Sao Paulo.

Having stayed here for a full week, I have been able to attest that staff is polite and helpful, and services provided, while not top of the line, are more than adequate for the price: free business center, free underground parking, gym and sauna, and good breakfast buffet.

The rooms are absolutely massive, with a kitchen/living room, bedroom, walk-in closet and even a balcony! It's perfect for a long-term stay as you can have guests come up to your room for a drink.

This place is a real gem and I'll be staying here every time I go back to SP. Don't miss Nagayama, which is a 1 minute walk: the best sushi I've had outside Japan!
