Typical hotel for business travellers: practical, spacious rooms, comfortable, charmless and well located for those who need to work at Paulista Avenue area or wish to use the metro/subway. Breakfast is regular.

Pros: in room sitting area with sofa, work table with chair, and a kitchenette set with microwave oven, nice bed.

Cons: slow service at front desk.

I was in Sao Paulo on Business for just over a month's time. Two days after check-in I had a surprise when they offered me a lower rate than what I had originally arranged. They lowered the daily rate by around 20% considering that I am going to stay over 30 days.
The staff at reception speak good English , so communication wasnt a problem for a foreigner like me. The staff at the restaurant & at the lobby are very friendly and warm.

They provide free breakfast, freeWiFi internet, free TV w/Cable with CNN, English Movie channels etc. The room has a kichenette with microwave, utensils, small refridgerator etc.

They also have a sofa & an office table apart from different sizes of bed by room type. The view from roof top is wonerful. The hotel also has a swimming pool & free parking for guests.

Do not expect a friendly smile from the receptionists. The air conditioner just next to the bed is an invitation to wake up with a cold, the Gym is for show only, all the equipment is rusty and badly cared for. Small but nice clean pool and dry sauna, large clean rooms, soft bed and the breakfast is not too shabby idem. Contrary to other less expensive hotels (Ibis,F1 Etc.) the Transamerica do not offer 220/110 volts Voltage Transformers to its clients.
