“Carefull with Credit card cloning”

I spend two days overther, nice place , not as good for a 500 usd night but anyway, decent place to stay, service is very good, rooms ok, I expect more from them but any way, the issue was that I expect only two nights and then after when I was back in my home I got three charges for 1500, 4000 and 5000 USD from this hotel, fortunatelly my credit card company stop it and this fraud did not go through, I called the hotel and let them know this issue and they said they have no information or intereest to follow up, since they were the only place I paid with my credit card, they were the one who clonned, I suppose when I pay at the restaurant, so be carefull.

Thank you for choosing InterContinental São Paulo Hotel during your recent visit to Brazil and for having taken your time to write your review.

It is great that you enjoyed our facilities and the place where the hotel is.
Certainly you are in the best city area and hotels’ rates have gone upwards due to the Brazilian economy recovery and to the high demand we have had recently.

It is highly important for us to receive our guests’ comments due to the fact that it enables us to target problem areas and take necessary actions to ensure similar situations to be avoided in the future.

IHG and InterContinental São Paulo follow a strict compliance rule (Payment Card Industry) to protect personal information and ensure security when transactions are processed and it means that we are in accordance with the safety rules, management, politics, procedures, software safety and other protection measures required by the credit card administrators companies.

The credit card administrator was duly notified and we have checked all the terminals and no irregular situations were found. However we are aware and also we have already reinforced our safety procedures to avoid any possible drawbacks.

It is worth noting that so far we haven’t received any notifications from our guests regarding the same drawback and we have never been contacted.

We urgently ask you to get in touch with our management area for further handlings at renato.oliveira@ihgbrasil.com in order to check your case with the highest priority.

We appreciate the candid feedback we receive and welcome any opportunity to improve our services.

“Very well located - great service - nice welcoming!”

The hotel is in Jardins, one of the best areas in sp! You can walk around to have some shopping in oscar freire street, crossing some nice parks, or join with few steps the avenida paulista the financial district of sp.

The welcoming was super, both at the reception and at the room. The receptionist was super nice, available and helpful.

We got the upgrade of the room, which was very nice, and very well equipped and fournished, also witha welcome present made of some fresh fruits and drinks. The bath, with iacuzzi and shower, had a great courtesy set, composed of l'occitane soaps, creams etc...

I really liked and enjoyed the hotel, where i'll back for my next paulista trip.

“Big rooms and easy access”

One night at the InterContinental. Had a very nice room. Good internet service although expensive. Small but effective lobby. Don't have to walk too far to elevator and entrance. Service was good. Fine for a quick business visit to Sao Paolo.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite.

“Freeky food”

I enjoyed the luxury of their rooms. When I learnt on the news that their chef was in jail because he was cooking food expired more than 1 year, I almost freeked out.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for having taken the time to share with us your experiences as a guest of our Hotel.

Owing to the divergent interpretations reported in the media regarding the issues related to the food conservation, InterContinental São Paulo notifies that the expired food products (approximately 10 kg) found by the public authorities had been stored in a subsidiary stockroom that is used for storing products which should be removed, discharged or replaced by suppliers. As it is located far from the kitchen or any food handling area, these improper items are not allowed to reach the latter. Moreover, before any food product is sent to the food handling area, its quality conditions and expiration date are verified.

Avoiding possible confusion with any similar case, it is worth noting that the food found was not more than 10 days overdue.

Therefore, on November, 9th 2011, COVISA (Health Surveillance Coordination) inspected the hotel, checking all facilities, documentation and procedures adopted. The health inspectors recognized the best practices adopted and they confirmed that the hotel is in accordance with the health regulations. A report confirming this compliance was issued by COVISA.

In order to keep the transparency with our clients, the hotel will be at your complete disposal if any client or guest would like to know the kitchen and its procedures.
