I stayed in this hotel for a week. The rooms are small and long mile walk to reach them. The location is far from main city and my hosts were in terrible mess dropping and receiving me from this hotel as it took over hour and sometime more than 2 in peak hours just to reach to it. There is nothing nearby this hotel and when I walked out for a stroll I was warned of getting robbed or even knifed f I ventured a block away or so. Surprisingly there was a lady gaga concert happening just 2 blocks from the hotel but the police presence was like a fortification in the night. The daily room price was more than I would pay approx US$300 per night and food was too poor with no variety and expensive. But since there is nothing outside you are stuck. Unless you move to city by spending about RIAL 60-80 one way, to reach downtown, you cannot expect decent food and costs. Sao Paulo is not safest of cities and you dont want to go into subway or buses on your short stays. The hotel room had a home like split Aircon fitted on a wooden wall panel which was about 5 feet from ground. It made all hell of a noise. Overall it looks like they took over some abandoned old hospital and converted into a hotel. The lobby is so so, except one or two all the staff doesnot speak English, hotel mostly caters to exhibitors who come and display their goods in the small convention fair ground they have outside the hotel. There are no gardens or pools that I know of. For the price of it it is definately not worth. I was shocked to find premium hotels in chick downtown offering world class rooms at same price. Not popular with locals.
