I booked two days in this hotel last november as I was attending a conference nearby. For the rate payed (about US$ 150 a day) I honestly expected a little bit more.
Pros: large rooms, located in the best neighborhood in São Paulo, close to the subway, close to a lot of great restaurants, a standard but enjoyable breakfast, the laundry service was quite quick and professional, the beds were ok inspite they weren´t "box" beds and the dinner served in the restaurant, albeit a bit pricey, is rather good.
Cons: very outdated rooms and furniture, the TV was older than me for god sakes, old (albeit clean) carpets in the rooms, no wireless internet available, you had to connect using cable but you have to ask for the cable at front desk, the gym room is VERY old and most of the equipment is broken, the elevators were quite old and scary, and were constantly out of service and often didn´t stop at the correct floor.
If the other hotels nearby are packed, then this one could be an option, but I wouldn´t recommend it to a close friend.
