I stayed at this hotel while being on a business trip to Sao Paulo. For 80 reals (+-$26!) a night, I got a big room with a small kitchenete and a balcony. The bathroom was huge, though it had no tub...just a shower. The fridge was stocked with water, juices, and of course, my favorite: Skol beer. The location is pretty good; it's on a relatively quiet street off Iberipuaera boulevard, which makes it ideal for those who're light sleepers. The neighborhood, like any other neighborhood in Sao Paulo, requires vigilance, but it's safer than many other neighborhoods. (I saw a young woman, from a residential building across the street, walking her dog around 11PM.) In room breakfast was pretty good -- an assortment of exotic fuits, a huge basket with breads, eggs, meats, cheeses, espresso and orange juice -- for a laughing price of 14 reals (+-$5), tip included.
The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars because the balcony door didn't shut sealed, the carpeting showed some signs of age, and the iron press I requested didn't work. Other than that, everything was fine.
